Blender is very good and very hard to learn. It took me about a month to learn to create a full car, im talking about up to 10 hours a day 3 days a week.. unless that makes me a slow learner? :p Now im starting to learn coding and Jbeam from scratch absolutely no knowledge of programming. I calculate it'll take me about 4-6 months of intense work to learn well enough to put my full car into Beamng, the trick is... its crazy fun! So my advice, have fun with it and expect it to take very long.

I'm pretty much in this exact same boat, lol. I really want a particular car in BeamNG (94 caprice wagon....as it's my personal DD). So with that as my motivation, I started learning how to use blender about....2 days ago. I know I have a long road ahead of me....but I'm pretty sure I'll be ridiculously satisfied with myself if I can get my personal car into Beam, especially coming from having no experience in 3d modeling or programming whatsoever. Before I downloaded this game.....the most I could do was change a couple 0's to 1's in a line or two of script to enable my ENB in Skyrim >.<

That being said, as I have no experience with any 3d modeling software other than about 2 days of blender, I can't comment on how good any other software is. I will say though, with Blender being free, and the amount of tutorials floating about on youtube and such, it's definitely worth taking a gander at. Going from no 3d modeling experience whatsoever, to having a flat plane of a fender modeled in a 4-5 hours should speak for the intuitiveness of blender. It takes a while to learn, but once you learn it, it makes sense.....at least so far it does.

This is what I've been using to learn blender, seems pretty good so far!
Credits to Venomox for making a tutorial even I can understand, lol
