It's not that exactly. I run in max settings but i like the older version of Gridmap for testing, which was converted to a mod by Sam a long time ago. Also i'm not fan of the dynamic reflexions nor SSAO so i disable them. A lot of my screenshots were made like that, in this older map. It's not for performance reasons but just taste. The reason i like this gridmap is the atmosphere which i prefer, and most important, it has no AI pathes so i can test cars with the attacking AI just as i want, without cars stopping to follow the route.
Rim Barrel, I'm trying my hand at self modeling, I don't know what the design of the wheel face itself is going to be quite yet, I'm still experimenting with blender stuff, i should probably make a rim bead so it doesn't look too RoR quality --- Post updated --- Ignore the reversed face, I know it's there... --- Post updated --- I've remodeled it becasue I was rather unhappy with the side beads and the overall quality. Here's a few renders of the new model with and without a tire
NICE ! is that a scratch model or is it ported from another game ? --- Post updated --- Thank you @Bernd for letting me use your ETK 800 sedan jbeam as a kick starter
The model is of another game but Yan and I have made improvements. Look at the effect I gave to the taillights
Assetto Corsa? Also that just looks fantastic, great job so far. Would love to see it in a group to try
disregard I am a dumbass it has a project cars plate so gonna assume its one from there which is likely way too high poly for beam
no longer working on this because click bait cars are so confusing and hard to make the car isn't even in the selector
So? Doesn't mean you can't practice to get better so you can make a mod. Also, I suggest doing something smaller first, like a skin or custom part.
I have a rough sketch of the wheel slots in the model, i know it may be the incorrect way of doing it but I couldn't get the Array modifier to work right. Need to do the inside but I'm too tired to model. I need to sleep.
Try making objects to be placed on map, that is kinda fun and lot easier than making vehicles. Mesh slapping parked cars to maps is really easy to do and makes big change to how driving will feel, also they are not technically mesh slaps as there is no beam structure to slap mesh to.
