    well so it did.
I just had gotten the game around this time, so i dont recall ever even seeing this thread.
Either way, I'm glad to finally see something from 2014/2015 make a comeback. I guess not all old threads are destined to die :p

I'm currently trying to recreate the rear torsion bar suspension. Does anyone know if the torsion bar itself mounts to the body or does it sit "freely"? A lot of google searching didn't really give any answers, or at least I couldn't anything due to my inexperience with cars in general.

So in real life there is some mechanical parts in between but as they are fixed together in jbeam you can simplify it (you have to anyway or else it would be too fragile).
What you would do is attach that rotation point directly to the chassis.

Yeah, it has grooves where it sits, you can take it off and put back in at different angle to lower the car if I remember correctly, that is generally in French FWD compact cars, not sure if some models differ a bit.

So it was kinda L-shape and one end is in those grooves in body, other end then acts as a spring as bar is twisted/bend.

Ninja'd by a developer, not surprising, those are kinda fast and clever guys and I'm slow not so bright :)

Your greenhouse looks way larger compared to the rest of the car, I'd recommend getting anything as right as possible as it won't be possible to fix later.

I have a few questions. I've made a crude form of torsion suspension and the main problem I'm having is the wheels becoming really unstable/going wobbly under high lateral forces, e.g. when turning sharply. below is a screenshot of the rear suspension jbeam. The same occurs for the front suspension but it's not as much of a problem. Anyone know how to stabilise the wheels?

My other question is regarding the speedo: Just how do you set it up correctly? It seems to be inaccurate when I enable it for any combination of wheels. It tends to report speeds of around 20mph when I'm clearly going faster than that.

I will upload an alpha version once I've sorted the wobbly wheels.

If your hub is quite small, you could increase size of it, just those 4 hub nodes, you can have it bigger than actual hub diameter if needed. also front and back nodes of 'diamond' you can tie together with very strong beams if it is solid axle as it looks to be and often is in those kind of cars.

I have seen slide node rails used to increase strength too.

Too small hub tends to be wobbly.

However I know very small amount of those, somehow there is so much hidden tips and tricks that I don't know that usually while I might get some progress it is washed away by some odd side effect.

As promised, here's a very early version of the car. There are no collision triangles implemented at the minute so I'm not sure how well intervehicular collisions will play out. I'd love to receive feedback whether positive or negative.
