I'm referring to the ones from food restaurants (not all, but some) actually. It's definitely gonna make a trend for the manufacturers of these covers. Looks like I'm going to have to get used to it.
Looks like the Dell is likely shot for good. For “high intensity” stuff anyway. Might work as an email reader. As I’ve mentioned before, Dell put defective nVidia cards in their XPS M1530s and 1330s. I have a 1530. Basically, the chip overheats and causes connections to the motherboard to crack, the only potential solution is to pretty much resolder stuff with a heat gun, which I am obviously super excited to try. Idles fine, but as soon as I start Rigs of Rods, the screen goes all funky, colors and pixelation, freezes then crashes. Maybe it’s an excuse to finally get a good computer. :/
Nothing big has happened today, exept for the fact that it has been a week sine my water pump broke I have not had any running water since last friday. I had to go to my old house to get water and use the restroom =\
I got a slight bike upgrade about a month ago. From a very early 90's no suspension bike to a 2018 Giant Trance 3. Done some suspension adjustments to my bike today since my shock pump arrived. The rear shock felt great from the bike shop, but the front had been feeling a little stiff, turns out it was at 80psi when the recommended value for my weight was 50-60psi, so its now at 60psi and is feeling much much plusher and more confident, plus has approximately the correct amount of sag. Its unbelievable how good the suspension is on modern mountain bikes. I also checked the rear shock (160psi), just to write down where it is at for future reference. Super stoked
Typical old Dell quality. Newer Dells have become better at least. My Inspiron 7577's GTX 1050 Ti really does not goes up to 70 degrees while gaming.
My dad started playing the Spongebob Movie videogame again. (a game that he played a lot when it came out and likes to play it every now and again.) there's one level in this game called Rock Slide which is a race to the finish style game. My dad for some reason cared to play this level for 100s of hours, in a attempt to beat the developer. He got a 3:27, with the studios best time being 3:29 Apparently my dad cares enough to be the world record holder on this obscure 2000s game...
That's kinda similar to when I went and somehow attained the world record for the highest drift score in the Ferrari 599 on Eiger Nordwand... in Grand Turismo HD. A completely inaccessible game now so I can't even see if the record stood or was knocked down before the servers went offline. I can't imagine that it stood for very long, but who knows... maybe it still stands and I will never know...
Updates: DAC arrived, connected the whole thing to the TV and it works fine (it actually came with a TOSLink cable, so +1). It needs to be powered, and the TV USB port seems enough for that. Luckily the TV allows to have both speaker and external audio at the same time, so I can just turn on the stereo when needed (ie. movies). TOSlink sends raw audio signal AFAIK, so you cannot control the volume of the stereo from the TV, but from the stereo itself. I don't mind that so far.
Got my Graduation ceremony Tomorrow (today technically). It's gonna be a long day... and logistically painful, but it will be really nice to visit the place again, all I need to do now is not fall over on stage in front of a full cathedral xD
I wrote a thing. I would characterize it as EarthBound meets Half-Life 2 meets 1984. Not the most original, but it's a start. The following is a mandatory message from your Ambassador: (In the background, an unknown language can be heard. It would appear that the Ambassador is translating for someone more important.) Residents of Earth: It has come to my attention that a few foolish individuals have referred to my administration as "authoritarian." This would certainly be an insult to a lesser Ambassador. However, and fortunately for the sake of those who would say such things, I see it differently. To understand this, we must first ask ourselves: What is authority? According to my dictionary, authority is... let's see... ah, here it is. Authority is defined as "power to influence or command thought, opinion, or behavior." In that case, of course I am an authoritarian - my authority comes from the great many of you who stood behind me and the Starmen in Earth's Uprising. Authoritarianism, then, is not the enemy of democracy. Rather, it is democracy's truest form, as there is no authority but that given by the masses. And we must all be authoritarians if we are to stake our claim in this great Universe. And to those who would disagree: For the first time in our history, we have been granted the opportunity to be more than mere humans. Yet, you choose to hold yourselves back. While all the rest of the world reaches for their place in the heavens, you opt to remain Earth-bound, digging yourselves deeper and deeper into your precious soil. I implore you to reconsider, lest the holes you dig become your graves. Authoritarianism really is indistinguishable from its own satire - you can't make it any more insane!
Spoiler: The following is all jokes, don't take it seriously in any capacity (Removed the theory so he can't Google it. I will PM it to you if you want. Basically, Billion Surprise Toys is teaching kids how to live under the New World Order.) Bonus points if you can convince Alex Jones of all this and get it on tape. UPDATE: I'm gonna try and do it myself. DON'T SEND THIS IN!!! WE DON'T NEED HIS INBOX GETTING FLOODED WITH COPYPASTA. If you want to write in something original that plays into this narrative, go ahead, but please, do NOT under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES MAIL THIS IN VERBATIM!!! UPDATE: I wrote it in. I waited until after 9/11, because his inbox is probably full of nutters around then. If anyone watches InfoWars here, keep an eye out for Elsagate-related content, especially about Billion Surprise Toys - let me know if Gay Frogs takes the bait. If he goes for it, it means he might be "compromised!" Also, I am working on a short story called "Intergalaxia," loosely based on my theory. Wait till they find out that it was based on a toy channel.
Just looked up a few of my records on Discogs and it turns out that my copy of Black Masses by Electric Wizard was a version limited to 400 copies worldwide! It's still not that valuable but it sure is worth a lot to me. Now I just need to get a limited King Gizzard LP and my life will be completed...
Back from a long vacation! I went to Victoria, Seattle, and Portland. It was quite an adventure. Gonna work on BeamNG stuff again. I feel really inspired! I'm gonna beautify my Gull Coast map, work on some scenarios, and then plan out a brand new map!
Been messing around in blender 2.7 & 2.8, I've mainly just been trying out new techniques for modeling and creating levels, I used micro displacement to give the terrain here some depth, been thinking about trying my hand at making a map in blender and then exporting it to beamng again.
Not super on topic, but I think I’ve seen this car in real life at a car show, and now it’s in a Hoovie’s Garage video. I think it’s pretty probable it’s the same car, probably not too many wine cork Isettas in Minnesota.
