    No.

This is a forum for vehicles that have reasonable progress done, or are already done. Asking people to make a car and PAYING them for it is just... NO.

Why? I would be interested in the reason for that No too.^^
I mean if he wants to pay money for cars he owned one day then this is his personal decission, same goes for the guy who wants to model those cars for him for money. Do you realize that 3D artists earn money that way all day? It may be the wrong forum section, but it is nothing uncommon or special at all to ask someone to do work for you if you pay them for doing so, its called a job.
I would actually be glad to be able to accept such an offer, but im not certain that i can deliver the quality a paid job would request to be delivered, nor even that i succeed at a full car model.

Nowhere, because no one's gonna do it for you. Lesson no. 1 here: if you want a car in-game, do it yourself.
If anywhere it should be in discussion.

Try using the "Suggestions" thread and suggest the cars you want. You never know, someone could make it for you.

Nope, lesson no.1 is : If you assume you would know shit, you are just imaginating your little dream world, that some people might call reality.
You have no damn clue what which member of this forum would or will do, so please shut up and dont claim you would know when you have no single idea. As long you dont know every single member of this forum personaly, you cant know!

Edit: Even if it seems unlikely for you guys, which is again pure imagination in fact of the lack of information to judge on the likelyhood, having someone doing a job for a payment isnt unlikely at all. I dont saw a single offer like this in front here so there is not even a single behaviour pattern you could take as base for your decission nobody would do it. Im always impressed again on the prophesy skills of this forum. :/
I mean why would you have to comment this subjective opinions of you as facts? The only possible use this could have is him giving up on the offer, he looses the chance to get the cars and another person looses the chance to earn money for his work. Just because you imagined something to be fact?... sad. Please state your opinions as opinions, which works by adding "i think..", "in my impression..." and so on.

You're basically asking to employ an artist here, you know that? Someone like Gabester or Mythbuster would easily be able to ask a few grand off of you for one vehicle.

this and your signature shows quite good what kind of a person you must be... :(

whats wrong with people like you...? the guy made an offer and its up to people themselves if they accept it or not...

it really amuses me how a hand full of guys on this forum think their ability to make videogame cars somehow enables them to give moral/social advises...

Its amused me that you've decided become the arbiter of who is allowed to be taken seriously when they give advice... based on less credentials than they I might add.

woww... what do you know about my credentials? i cant recall knowing you personally... and where have i indicated any of those things above? i simply pointet out what i thought was irrational missbehavior towards someone who simply asked a imo reasonable question.

    and for the "credentials" thing...

please enlighten me with your knowledge about how "makin videogame cars" relates to "moralic authority" or authority on any other level than "makin videogame cars"

... i knew it was a mistake to reply with my opinion... nevermind, youre right. ;)

I'm good at arguing! Don't you dare tell me I'm not!
What's wrong with his sig? I can see a problem with his post for some extremely odd non-internet hardened people, but his sig isn't bad; inspirational even.

About the OP: It's a bit odd, but whatever. If he wants to hire a designer for $5,000 a car that's his choice.

I am okay with civilized arguments, but when they get out of control, then it is just annoying, whether I am in it or not.

Hell if someone was paying that much I'd actually learn jbeam. Something tells me that the devs don't want people making money off their platform without permission.
