    There is multiple issues :

    • the texture file is wrong (you renamed a gimp file to DDS, this will never work)
    • the material.cs points to the wrong file
Install this plugin to export to dds. (You need to restart gimp)

In gimp, you need to use the Export option.
Replace `png` with `dds` at the end of the filename in the export dialog
An option window will open and select the option like this

You may need to change the compression type depending on the texture. See https://wiki.beamng.com/Exporting_Textures_-_DDS_Files#Compression_types
    Always generate mipmaps.

Please take note that, this plugin is not compatible with multiple layers.
If you have multiple layers you will need to export to `.png`, then open that png into Gimp and export it again in `.dds`

you sent the UV texture which is exactly the same as the in game one.

Send the gimp file instead (.xcf)

Also don't forget that the dds export only export one layer

I just missclickded & deleted the file...
I want to remove the stripes inside of the body, that I can paint better, like using the fill option to make 100% of the body yellow or green.
