That might be the best self-advertising attempt I have ever seen..

OT: Might be a nice thing to rally around if it is tuned properly...

the mesh is the same size, just like every variation of engine in each car in the game. the 4.5 and 5.5 are the same size, the 2.0 and 2.5 in the sbr4, the 1.8 and 2.0 in the sunburst, etc.

It's got slightly sportyish suspension. I may have gone a bit too far in making it less of the boat it originally was.

    I could think of a rally variant, or a 695 Competizione-like one.

I hope there is a turbo'd version with a variable geometry option. It's so light that anything over 300 HP would be really quick.

honestly, anything over 300hp in this light of a car is like full-on race car power/weight ratio. i'd say 150hp is decently powerful for a quick daily driver. it'd be comparable to a 225hp miata or something like that I think.

Yeah, thats why my suggestion of an LS1 is kinda insane, but i still think someone will do it.
even if this car only weighs like less than a ton

LS1 is too heavy, it will ruin handling of the car. Rear heavy car is not very fun really, it is like throwing hammer handle first, put ton of power and more weight to it and it is not so much fun as one might think. Especially torque is murder in such, less torque can be a good thing, especially in light package.

I guess thing weights something between 450 to 550kg, if you put lighter bike engine to car it does fly, with low torque it is not so much issue to put that power down to road either.

So while LS1 and radial engine are insane crazy (and in a way very fun) things, they are mostly for show, not for go.

What I think devs have is something Abarth kind, maybe high revving kind too, but perhaps not very heavy engines.

bike engine would be amazing. low torque and high RPM, so the gears can be shortened a decent bit. a high-revving engine with a sequential gearbox offers insane acceleration in these tiny cars. a supercharged 600cc pigeon engine would be absolutely nuts, and it would keep the relatively linear torque curve and acceleration curve (due to not having to use the clutch to shift)

The LS-Series engines are around 200 kg.

That's probably about a third of the car's weight being concentrated over the back axle. Not great for keeping the front planted.

Subaru flat-4s aren't much lighter, over 150 kg for a turbo one.

These are not hubcaps. They are cast rims with a rigid support in the middle for centercaps. With caps, they'd just look like this:

you know it would never have that kind of handling in this game but the sound and engine setup certainly could be done, easily. I love that video I have seen it before, what a crazy little car.

we could easily have that handling in beam. the problem is that most people don't have a wheel setup to make it happen, and even then, you need at least 60-120fps to make the driving really "work"

drive the covet blitz cup car with a wheel and proper ffb settings. that is an extremely good handling car imo.

the Hirochi 2.5L is around 152kg with the stock intake, 162kg with the stock turbos, 164kg with the TTS2 turbos, and 165kg with race turbos

the 2.0L is around 149kg with the stock intake, 159kg with the stock turbos, 161kg with the TTS2 turbos, and 162kg with race turbos.

    much weight.
