Hei. I am looking at getting a new laptop and was wondering, would an Intel Core i3-3120M be jsut enough to run Beam? Any suggestions for processors are welcome. AMD and Intel Thanks in advance
Runs on my i3-3217U laptop. Yeah it has to be on lower settings, but it does physically run which is all you really asked for.
Any machine used for gaming in my opinion should not be using an i3 processor. Instead it should be using either the i5 or i7 core series provided by Intel. I'm an Intel only guy, so I can't provide you with information on AMD. Make sure your GPU is good enough too, recommend somewhere in the nVidia GTX series or a GT 640. My desktop computer runs a 2320-i5 and a GT 640 2GB and I can get a solid 30fps on maximum settings. A little outdated, but does its job. Regular stock Torque3D I can pull about 120-150fps on maximum settings with somewhat of an environment. Even though its a desktop, it should be able to help provide you a benchmark when selecting your hardware to buy.
Okay, thanks guys! I was just wondering before I bougfht the laptop I haven't been online for a while, so sorry for the slow reply
