Update Speculation thread

When the new gravity on spherical objects comes out, do you think the devs will make a map that goes with it? Doesn't have to be complicated, maybe a simple testing range on a ~100 meter radius sphere where you could test the possibilities, like jumping a ramp into orbit.

 

No, not at all.

Since I take it this thing about Vulcan is a big deal, you'd think I would've heard about it sooner.

 

I at least hope there is something like that for easier start to play with it, or maybe new feature on gridmap. Something Gravitron inspired toy for vehicular destruction maybe?

It is Vulkan, put it to search box, there are some hints even back at 2016, but haven't spotted earliest dev message mentioning it as search is kinda painful to use to find some old stuff:

Hmm, they might have had Vulkan in active development for more than a year already, since they have been evaluating it already at 2016, so it might be closer than previously thought, what do you think @VeyronEB ?

 

Just noticed that there still are not Italian license plates. :| They still might be a work in progress, but Italy would not be complete without them.



BeamNG still needs European plates, for Italy (Italian), the ETK Driver Experience center (German), and future maps set in Europe. (French ones if possible to put on the Gendarmerie Sunburst, but not 100% required)

 

I really wonder if we gonna get new engines for etks. Some time ago I saw people speculate about V10 engine .
I mean since beamng hq has Hired a new sound maker, can we expect more high quality sounds for cars?

 

Its possible, but I wouldn't hold my breath on it honestly, seems like its been quite a long time in the works if its the case, can't say either way though.

Most of the cars aren't even be able to fit a European sized plate since they are mostly US market spec. Although square format plates would probably work, it would look somewhat odd.

 

At least ramp is there already

 

It is same slot as with rear doors, you can switch part between door or ramp, but doors are not using ramp slot now?

Could be euro style truck coming, dolly for such I guess, or maybe wishful thinking? Maybe dolly for bus?

Obviously devs are up to something, like they always are

 

I think the i series should get a diesel, and a couple of fours when Italy comes out.

I wonder when they're going to Development Sneak Peak 6.

There has been a lot more sneak peaks and content introduced, like the Autobello and the Gravity improvements, and it would be nice for them to compile the new stuff again.

I don't think you're alone. I mean there's been about 50 updates (including hotfixes) and there's 365 days in a year? What are the odds, let alone a big update.

 

Eh, the D series doesn't deserve a diesel IMO. It's mostly just a light truck, kind of like the Nissan Frontier, Chevy Colorado or Toyota Tacoma. We need a new truck frame if we want a diesel truck. Plus the D Series doesn't need more options, it's so overwhelmed with choices already, 24 stock choices.

 

We already have a diesel truck anyways (technically a semi, which would be the T-Series).

 

Umm... the D-series is a full-size pickup truck from the nineties. The D15 is comparable in size to say, a Chevy 1500. Dual rear tires are not usually available on any trims of light trucks.

Trucks have gotten larger over the last 30 years - The D-series probably would be the size of a modern Colorado.

 

also to note, the standard D-series is a D-15. there is a D-25 and D-35. with Ford and GM and Dodge, anything 2500 and up had a Diesel option from the factory, even during the 1980s.
