WIP Beta released Articulated Frame component for Bus 0.1.4.2

Choo Choo, make way for the bus train. I can image people spending ages hooking them up to make a 20+ long train.

Quick question, Was wondering if you could add the feature to allow us to use modded engines/transmissions and turbochargers instead the ones that you make? (like I want to use the i660 diesel bus I can only sue it in the non-articulated version)

 

Because of BeamNG.drive implementation, it is not possible to just mount a component somewhere in a model - so all to do what you're asking, I'll have to just copy-paste everything three times for each of three additional frames, which is not seems like a fun idea.
But, I'm going to add some (hopefully interesting) variants to drivetrain soon.

 

Wouldn't made posible to use the same slot for engines if the bus standard frame being cut on the front instead on the back?
(using the articulated rear as the main chasis and adding things on the front)

 

Steering, gauges all of that is then what needed to be setup and that is even more of work than just engine that is really simple to do in comparison (still good amount of work especially if node naming is not co-operating).

At least that is how I imagine it being, but haven't really examined that much.

Need to do that tow hitch for this articulated frame some time, with tow bar at front and tow hitch at back, one could put many articulated one after each other, wish I had more time, but I try to squeeze that job to some gap.

Hey mate, i have a question about this mod. How do i get it to work?

i have the bloody thing installed and when i select the articulated bus frame thingy magig, it loads in the normal one.

I had this same issue, uninstall anything bus related, clear cache, launch the game in safe mode and then reinstall. At least that is how mine fixed.

i have the DT45L mod so i might just have to get rid of that and i will be good. i'll edit the post if it worked or not.

Now that we have the DT40L chasis, I think that the articulated variants of the bus should be based on that platform, I dont know on "Make everything huge Land" aka USA. But here in Spain, the articulated buses I come arround look like based on a shorter frame.

Can you make a puller version? It means the front vehicle is driven and the rear vehicle is an undriven trailer.

 

It dosen't look like it appears for me in the option menu, where can i find this?

I also highly agree the articulated frame components should have an all electric AWD drive system. I also suggest adding a double decker variant of all the tri articulated frames just as a fun experiment. And finally thanks slysenko for making this awesome mod! This is absolutely my favorite mod in BeamNG and I hope it turns out to be something awesome!

 

Is there any possibility to use this bus in the bus driving scenarios?
