Looks like the Ibishu Blackfoot, @atomspeed123‘s Jeep XP mod Edit: This post is not consolidating with my last one even though there was only a mn or so between them... This makes me sad. =‘(
Doh. But the wait will be worth it. I hope this update that comes soon the Halloween update is a tad more then a theme. yes there will be that. But maybe some new parts for the cars, New Configs? I hope something to tie us over til the map and car. I can wait for the car and map as i know the longer the wait the better it will be. But i admit i hope there is a few now parts and configs to keep us busy when the small update is out.
We've waited over 2 years now for Italy, and content is coming slower and slower. I'm really hoping that the developers know what they're doing. Also, everyone who overly defends the devs are probably trying to get those imaginary internet points tbh. Talk about being a teachers pet. I get reasonable defense to the developers, and all, but a game cannot improve without criticism. I'm not trying to bash anyone here, but this game is starting to lack content, and a lot of modders are giving up already. I haven't posted to this website in a while, but it's about time I say this. It doesn't help that almost every single mod is a low effort, terrible quality, put together in 15 minutes, meshslap. I am losing hope in this game, and straight up viruses get uploaded to this website and the user isn't banned. It really make's me feel unsafe even downloading these 'russian' mods. TL DR This game needs content or else it could be heading towards disaster, I love this game and I care for it. I have the best memories playing this game, but if we could get some word from the developers that we will be getting game changing future content, then I will probably have more hope. Thanks for reading.
I can partially agree with this, but I believe there are things more important than content. Vulkan and graphics optimizations/enhancements to name a few. But they aren't doing any of this so I agree with you there.
I would love to see how many vehicle devs/environment devs there are and why content updates are basically non existent and continuously pushed back. If the devs gave more information about the behind the scenes I might be more understanding but right now this is ridiculous, a team this size should not be struggling.
You have to be joking. This sounds like the next update is going to be a big letdown, and will probably be the worst update ever put out for BeamNG. If you're not joking, it's already sounding like I'm going to absolutely make 0.14 an update I'll skip, after skipping one (don't remember which one) that put too much focus on the online repo, which I don't use. Waiting until next year for 0.15 to finally get the Autobello and Italy is too long and disappointing. I was hoping we'd get two vehicles this year (the Wentward and the Autobello) after last year was just about void of new vehicles (AFAIK the Hopper was the only one we got last year, while we got more than one the year before last.) Maybe @Glitchy is right about content. If this becomes the new standards for updates, the community will degrade even more.
I know I’m the one always saying the game needs more content, but I think this is getting closer to being nasty to the dev team than a civil discussion...
@everyone Yes we don't know whats going on behind the scenes. Heres my stab at it. The Autobello, while looking great, is not complete, and still in a early phase. Italy is much larger and more detailed then all the other BeamNG maps, and needs to be improved FPS wise so people don't complain about FPS. The devs like to be secretive about update content, so don't go on dismissing the next update as "Having nothing". I do wish the BeamNG devs were less secretive about inner workings, but don't immediately blast them for having the false sense that progress was coming sooner then expected.
If they were more open with the community, even if stuff wasn't done, then we probably wouldn't have to lose hope.
This is not good news for the people who wanted actual content. This along with the automation update and the mod repo update were lacking and disappointing. Most of the things the community wants are either too big to be made in a acceptable time (Italy) and will likely not work- run well for the majority (West coast USA). What would encourage the community into thinking or proving that the game is still being worked on things that MATTER are simple small things. Ex: more signs, Graphical fixes (sunburst apparently (idk if still relevant)), more configurations, more skins, more working parts (doors, trunks, ect), Map fixes (WCUSA lag makers, ECUSA smother turns, Utah bridge out sign, ect), and what people really want that a mod did exist for the t-series but for the base game... tow trucks. Simple things that would keep the community going. If your going to be secretive about updates then make smaller content updates that involve small useful things. Ex: Why does the h-series not have any interior options for the cargo hold, why don'st the H-series not have a bus version, Why does the Burnside not have a racing version, Why dose the Pessima have a stanced version but the sunburst don'st? What I'm getting for your post @tdev is that we are getting either a brand new hallowen mode that will last 3 days be removed and forgotten or reusing last years mode instead of giving something like a new sign or bug fixes or even better no update and working on making the game engine work better. I get this game is not easy to work with but if 1 person can make a map bigger and better then WCUSA with more buildings with similar detail but less performance hits then something is wrong either with management or a loss of focus. OT: I hope halloween update will have a Randolph trailer full of pianos that when opened via force it creates a spooky song.
I actually like the Repo and the Automation Collaboration, but these tend to be more subjective, as I use them a lot.
If we are talking about things we want for a Halloween update.. I want a spooky ‘53 Special. Anyone play Choro-Q and remember the cars in the haunted mansion? Those things terrified me as a child. Geez I loved the gadget racer series, prob my all time favorite games. Edit; Wasn’t something like what I am asking for the thumbnail photo for the Halloween dev blog last year?..
All I want for the halloween update is the for update to add permanent things to the game rather then being a quickly made mod. Like pianos.
I think, in addition to a updated Halloween mode update, there will be other goodies and content. Small things like the Rusty D series skin, and other configs. Larger things, like better sounds, much improved track editor, and maybe a implementation of the improved gravity system? I don't know how fleshed out this is, but maybe a limited beta on the new UI. That would be the most insanely annoying and dumb thing ever.
That’s probably what everyone said about the 2014 Minecraft April fools update that made every sound into a villager noise. Yet here I am, with that installed as my default resource pack to this day.
