Happy spooky 666 pages, guys ---------------------------------------------- Wonder what this years halloween thing will be... Just collecting scarecrows, like we did with the snowmen Who knows
666 pages. goddammit. anyway, the Halloween update, as i predicted, will be coming with a cube of water and orange chili. I am graciously hoping for a tuesday release, as seeing releasing a halloween update on halloween would become out of date rather quickly...
I would of thought that as there is now steam Halloween sale, that update would of been ready for that as it could of been sale maker again, when people see new update and sale, that might be something that sells. You can find it usually right side of enter
I don't think so and I don't hope so. Tdev said earlier that there would be more to the update than just collections. Maybe we'll get some scenarios, or if we're lucky, a campaign, though I kind of doubt that. There will probably be sound and visual changes as well.
Nadeox said that we would be getting "Goodies" For me that means we would get a mixture of: Things like Configs and Skins Features (Live ground editor, upgraded gravity, etc...) Maybe some performance updates?
Happy 666. I say this new update is coming out tomorrow, it has to be to give us time for 90 crows... Too bad I'm gone for most of the day lol. They are definitely adding the basic stuff like two-step or that planet thing... Possibly sounds too?
Guys, I think you're forgetting the new Gavril V8! Honestly I love that kind of stuff - visual updates to existing content are always nice. Do we have confirmation as to whether it is OHC or OHV? Fuel system?
I wish they would make derby configs for the older cars for Halloween... As a "spooky" flashback to the times when they wanted BeamNG to be a derby game
Is it just me, or is it strange that the Barstow won’t be seeing any improvements from the new Gavril V8 model? Also, I really wish there was a section on the BeamNG wiki for in game engines
Yes, but it seems to me they should share some engine options. The newest vehicle we have that uses the Gavril V8 that is getting the new model is the H-Series, with a model run up to 2001. The Barstow began production in 1969. Even using these extremes (opposed to the D-Series, with a much earlier run) that is within the range of the Ford Windsor’s use out of the factory, which is still sold today as a crate engine. Being that the D-Series we have began production in 1988 and is based on a previous gen vehicle, it wouldn’t much much of a stretch compared to the Ford Cleaveland either.
The modern Gavril V8 is heavily based on the ford modular V8, and seems to be SOHC, while the Barstow's engine is a much older OHV V8. Even if they were (improbably) the same engine family, every single part of it except the basic internal layout would be changed, so they wouldn't share any parts.
I know that the current engine options are different, I’m just saying I kinda wish there was an additional engine that they shared (partially because it seems that a healthy amount of IRL counterparts did share at least some drivetrain components for some trims; partially just because I like having shared components; and partially because the idea of the larger Gavril V8 in the Barstow as an engine swap sounds fun)
666 pages near Halloween damn it, anyway, does anyone belive the update it coming on the 31st? Because what if all this hype is for nothing? And we will have to wait till november?
