Some good points.... this is really low on our priority list atm though, considering what other areas of audio need looking at currently ;)

Haha, well I'm not the one asking for it, I just mentioned how Burnout does it. :p
I'll leave the P's and Q's to Glaxy note... or whoever asked for it. XD

Haha, P's and Q's.... Not heard that for many many years. "Mind your P's and Q's" was driven in to myeby my Mum at and early age... and you know what, she was right - and it's free :)

I've always assumed P's were for "Please" but I have no idea what Q's are supposed to be.

Yep, that's what it is... I think the idea is that it's queued to the end of a sentence perhaps.

Hehe, well in my mad little world it could :-

You say a thanking phrase "wow, that mean was awesome", and you automatically say "thankyou" as the last word of that phrase. So basically your programming (the manners taught to you by whomever brought you up) has already "queued" the word thankyou, ready to say at the end of whatever phrase you speak.....

    I dunno, perhaps I’m being silly ;)

I think... maybe you need to slowly step away from the lines of code on the computer and head outside for a bit of fresh air...
Does that sound nice? Let's go for a walk and just chat about things.

Hehe, that does sound nice - I need to go for a walk anyway, and see if I can find my camel.

I don't wanna be rude, but now that I listened the crash sounds, they sound like two zinc trashcans being bashed together. Would work just fine if the cars would be just grinding together, but in a straight on crash, nope.

    Haha, true!!! :)

Mmm, had someone else saying they all sounded like plastic. Well maybe one day we can do a recording session at a breakers yard rather than having to rely on sound libraries for this (which are apparently cars being dropped using cranes etc).

I understand that you may lack the production values with these, but hopefully you find ways to create your own sounds. Buy some junk cars and do some trick with them to get the results you want to. Afterall, it's not difficult to make them crash into something without a driver...

Awesome sounds. Sounds are my favorite part to every update, they make a huge difference for me. One thing that I think can be improved upon is that the engine sound is louder and more clear from the front of the car than it is from the back. It should be the other way around. From the front most of what you should be able to here is the fan spinning, air intake, and a little bit of muffled exhaust noise.

From the back, it should sound like the engine noise is actually coming from the exhaust pipe. Depending on the exhaust setup should determine how muffled the sound is, with race exhausts not sounding muffled at all, and instead raspy and intense.

This would add an extreme amount of immersion for me. Thanks for reading my feedback!

Any engine I've ever heard was louder at the front. Don't see any reason why it should be the other way around.

Every diesel I’ve seen is way louder at the front. Almost all gasoline cars have most of the engine sound directed out of the exhaust.

Most of the sound generated is from the combustion in the cylinders and mechanical noises from moving parts.

There are only 2 openings to the inside of the cylinder to the air, the exhaust and intake. The intake is impossible to hear combustion out of and you will hear "induction" noise which is a sucking noise.

Exhaust is obviously louder because that is the sound of explosions happening in the engine. That being said, some of the exhaust will resonate through the metal of the engine and be heard from the engine bay. But, since the headers are completely sealed to the engine block, most should be diverted into the exhaust system.
