Manual option in Main menu?

    After getting my G27, I noticed that the cars are pretty much always automatic. There is a manual mode I somehow got. I would like a direct manual "on" or "off" button in the options menu. I searched manual in search, I got threads suggesting manual, not this.

    I still think an option to set your gearbox preference permanently would be good, although i think id like an option to set it to whatever the actual gearbox is in the car.

    Hoping this will be the case when the realistic auto box is implemented.

    Press F1 in-game, Lists all controls and whatnot...
    It tells you that on the main menu screen.

    I agree. It should be in the main settings window with the graphics settings.

    IIRC, that is the plan.

    I think I remember gabester saying something like eventually you'll only be able to choose a manual gearbox when the car has that as an option.

    I'd agree with you if this game had no modding capabilities. I would like that extra bit of realism and it's not like it'll stop people from changing a line or two of code. People already release unrealistic engine and transmission mods so I don't think you have anything to worry about.
