Your specs are to blame, not BeamNG.

Sadly the only possible fix would be to upgrade.

Well, as you said your computer is very bad, so it's not surprising you have so bad fps. To boost the fps you could choose the 'stripped' version of cars and make sure postfx is off.

Performance is going to be improved with the race update, so there will be better support for old hardware. Remember, the game is still in alpha, it's extremely unoptimized.

So...You want to make it smaller? I'm confused. Your specs are to blame.

Yeah, the issue is the outdated CPU. You could play with different cars (I get pretty crap FPS with the stock Moonhawk too. Around 25FPS. 40-80 with other vehicles depending on terrain/vehicle.)

Really, the only solution is to upgrade. The new update (Arriving at no-one-knows-so-don't-ask.) should bring a decent performance boost. As for the Moonhawk I find that removing bumpers gives me enough FPS for it to run at a decent FPS for me.

Turn down your graphics, that's basically all you can do. wait till the race update, because we're not going to change the game just for crappy computers. :p

In your logic, if you don't have enough money to upgrade your computer, then the game must bend down to your computer specs ?? LOL. The only way to do that is to lower the detail settings and make sure SSAO is off at least.

There is actually a variant of BeamNG that plays much better on lower end hardware. It's called Rigs of Rods.

What? Since when does that run faster? The framerate I get in RoR with two vehicles is the same as I get in BeamNG with four..

Well it really depends. On some maps I get amazing framerates, but others are absolutely awful. The same goes for vehicles, and while it has more features and feels more complete, the overall quality of the graphics doesn't match that of BeamNG. Also, some cars look like boxes and don't deform at all, while others look great and deform well (such as Gabester's).

It would be in their own best interest to get the game to run on lower spec machines
than high end rigs. Reasonably lower, that is. Can't expect it to run on a boat anchor...

If you hold out for pure quality and realism, you'll restrict use of the game to only high
end hardware, which in turn will limit long term revenue and prosperity of the game.

Doesn't take long for word to get out that "that game runs like crap on most computers"...IMO

quality>quantity i'd rather have a game that's as realistic(if it's aiming for that, which beamng is), and has this level of quality, vs the fps i'd get if they didn't aim for that (besides, it doesn't require anything uber expensive, a cpu like mine would be plenty for a small demo derby, while still being very playable, if people would stop trying to play on pentium laptops, they wouldn't have this problem...)

Seriously? My old 2GHz Core 2 Duo laptop with Intel graphics ran RoR better than my current 2.6GHz Core 2 Duo with overclocked Nvidia graphics runs Drive with a stripped Covet on Grid map.

Take off the front and rear bumpers for the Moonhawk. That helps a LOT for me. (It brings me up from 25 to 50 FPS)
