Unsolved Custom object doesn't light realistically

    I have a problem with the lighting of this custom 3d object. The light comes from like 45 degree angle so i think my object should be all the way lighted.

    It looks like the object does not have hard edges at the bottom.
    How does it look in your 3D program?

    My object looks like the one in the middle. Does the "sharp" edge option in Blender mean the same as the "hard" in the photo?
    In the photo below i have made the circular edges on the bottom and top sharp, but it still looks weird.

    Yes, that's your issue.
    You have no hard edges on your model, so the shading is going smudgy.

    There are a bunch of videos that explains this basic part of 3D modelling, here's one:


    You need to put a 'Edge Split' modifier to your model to fix your shading.
