Will I still be able to do this after the Race Update?

If you drive the Civetta just right, you can lift one of the front wheels off the ground:

The Race Update will bring handling fixes and improvements, but I still want to be able to do this.
If you are DrowsySam and want to test this on the Race Update, here's what you do:
    1. Get up to speed, preferably 100+ mph.
    2. Make a hard right so that it begins to rotate.
Advice: Don't use the 390GTR because Gabe says it handles really well.
    3. As you rotate, turn the opposite direction to the rotation.
    4. Hit "j" to pause physics, and look at the right wheel.
    Thanks!

I don't really see an obvious reason why you wouldn't be able to. If anything, cars have more traction after the update, making it easier to lift wheels. the problem was the veering on full throttle, and I don't see why changing that stuff would affect this. Maybe I'm wrong.

You could make a backup of the car and rename it. I did that with the original Bolide.

the vehicle handling was modified code wise i believe though, so keeping a backup wouldn't change much

Tdev said they changed the code so vehicles' code will have to be changed and there is no way around it. It won't work:(

Tdev's words: "Unfortunately, because of the large changes to official content, Lua, collision, friction, and the core physics, many mods will need to be updated to work correctly. There is no way around this."

I think it's a price to pay for such a great gift that is coming. IN SEVEN DAYS. NOT STAY TUNED YEARS.

tdev is pretty much saying that mods may still function, but may result in unforeseen errors/glitching. not that the mods will no longer be supported/work entirely.
That being said though, we will not know for sure until the update hits our systems if this is an easy update to patch mods for or not, we will not know until timer is up I guess.

    - - - Updated - - -

Well, elaborate. Is JBEAM not code(language)?

Also there was no "insult" anywhere to be seen, you seriously need to reconsider what is an insult.

True that we have to wait, but in all likelyhood cars will start exploding and tires will invert with the new code base. I remember when ROR updated its physics core last time light cars got all weird.

I love how people are still calling it 'the race update', it's more specifically, the 'pre-race update', and this is where those fixes come. and nope.

True, the main thing that effects the vehicles is jbeam. But the fixes that are to be applied in the update are primarily game/physics code, not the actual cars. So yeah.

    - - - Updated - - -

Well it's pretty much the same thing minus a few parts of it. (Granted one of those parts is the actual racing system) But it's pretty much the fact that it's the main update we've all been waiting for. So the original name stuck. And I doubt there will be an official race update, rather simply an update someday that includes the racing system. So this is close enough :p

Excuse me for the bump. But they DID change GAME CODE on how vehicles handle, they also said that vehicles WOULD NEED UPDATES once this update comes out. JBeam is not code per say, but they have been changed in many ways as well.
