well they said that they changed the B4S sound from the 2.5L SBR4 because the sound wasn't very good or consistent or something like that. so possibly they'll change it.
    but...
they also said they had something interesting coming involving the sound, so possibly they won't change it

Early Abarth creations were little more than garage kits. Literally, they were collections of custom parts sold in crates (suitcases, actually) and buyers could either fit parts by themselves or have the kit installed by someone capable.

No surprise some solutions (like the stuck open hood) are functional but less than orthodox.

To be fair, if it was true, why wouldn't other rear-engine performance cars do this?

I'd still expect a tuner company to have a more professional solution to overheating than my local park's groundskeeper.

It might not work on other cars because of the different aerodynamic profiles.

The Abarth 850 TC/1000 TCR was designed as a touring competition car so why would Abarth waste their time trying developing a new way to cool the very small car's engine when opening the rear hatch and adding a large front radiator is just as effective and adds the benefit of a higher top speed.

Abarth wasn't even a "tuner company" yet. Abarth started its life as a racing team.

Carlo Abarth tuned cars in his backyard for his own leisure, and then turned that into a business when he realized there was a strong demand for his creations after some notable racing success on tuned cars he built out of parts acquired from the liquidation of Cisitalia.

At first, they were only selling simple tuning parts (exhaust pipes being their best known accessory), while their main activity was still racing. Abarth only became a full-fledged tuner company after the FIAT takeover in the '70s.

okay, i gotta say - update on thanksgiving with the autobello?

it seems a bit out there, but the way there are just at this point teasing us with the autobello, (like when you dangle a treat above a cat or dog), and just showing the car in all of its glory like they've done with the thread and video makes me think its done... unless they plan on waiting to release italy and the autobello at the same time, this thing seems finished enough for a release. (but hey, what do i know?)

    oh also;
yaaay they included my chrome trim idea! :)

The answers to both of those questions can be found here in the "where are we going" thread.

I just noticed that the background for the latest video is Italy - I'd been too distracted by the sudden appearance of roof-checkers.

As happy as I'd be, that's probably only wishful thinking.

Hey, did anyone notice that the AB in the video did not have suicide doors? I guess those are optional?

It was noted a little while back either here or on the Piccolina thread. Our best guess at the moment is that it was one of the changes made in a facelift over the car's long production run.

According to @FLyInG 2 YoUr SoUL the suicide doors were taken off market in the 60's, while Autobello started production in '57

Nice. I'm not a big fan of suicide doors. So, the fact that this variant doesn't have them plays into the devs' narrative of this thing having tons of facelifts and variants, not to mention does wonders for mUh ImMeRsIoN.

Also, do I see fuel injection?
