Sorry, didn't see that one, i am also from the netherlands, i had 2 MK2 Focus's a 1.6 Automatic 5 door hatch 79-RR-BS and a 1.6 TDCI wagon 83-RF-VN, i love Ford's and also have some american ones (65 Mustang V8, 66 Fairlane 4 door, 86 Aerostar on 'grijs kenteken' and a 5.0 Ranchero GT from '74 also on 'grijs kenteken') for daily i have a MK3 Focus 1.0 Ecoboost (i hate it) and my old trusty Transit Connect 1.8 TDDi
Nice! My daily is a 2007 1.8 flexifuel 5door hatchback. Lovely car. My previous daily was a 2006 1.6 TDCI 5door hatchback. I’d love to have a MK1 escort one day..
Did some more work, I've got the rough shape of the front end. Lots more finetuning to do but it starts to look like the front end of a Focus. --- Post updated --- More progress: Done enough for today... Quite pleased with the progress so far
Now this is what I can call actual progress; I like the way the model looks so far! Are there any plans to add the performance versions offered in this generation of the Focus, such as the ST, the RS, and the RS500? A 5-door hatchback version would be nice to see as well, along with the sedan, estate, and the quirky 2-door cabriolet body styles (if you decide to model them). Nevertheless, good luck
More variants may be added later, but for now I’m going to build this one first and make it work as it should. That will probably take quite some time ;-)
Can you show us the model in edit mode with the poly visible? Because that poly flow looks a bit odd.
This looks really promising. One of my family's cars is a 2003 Focus ZTW, so I'm really excited to see the Focus in beamng.
Tips are always welcome. This is my first car in blender so it's a learning curve for me. Lots of finetuning to do with the current model though.
Poly flow looks good, but you should keep the whole thing as one big mesh for now. Then you can cut out parts later, it helps with alignment and polyflow
Nice! I have the Focus RS MK2 in ultimate green in real life! Would be awesome if you could manage to make an RS version in game
Maybe later, first going to try to make this version work as it should. --- Post updated --- Thanks for the tip, will try to make one big model from this, to see if it helps. Otherwise I'll continue with this model. Also I'll have to find out how to cut out parts, haha!
Got a bit more done today. Got the rough external shape of the 3-doors variant now. Again lots more cleaning up to do, and after that I'm going to try and start to build the interior. Should be interesting!
