Can you possible explain or provide a link explaining how exactly to check the console? I haven't ever done it before and I probably sound like a complete noob.
The key varies between keyboard layouts. Open the Options > Controls menu and search for 'Console' to see what key it is for you. Note that this requires the 'Advanced Functions' options to be enabled in Options > User Interface You can open the console in-game anytime. Red stuff are errors. Further questions in regards or how to solve errors should probably go in a separate thread
I'm not sure if this has been reported but I sometimes get immediate oil starvation after a level is finished loading. Resetting the car fixes that. Also, the parking brake light doesn't go out after the parking brake is automatically released. This automatic brake releasing is new in version 0.14 I think. And I'm still hearing the parking brake from other cars when the interior view is on. That's a carry-over issue from 0.13.
If I clone vehicles that tends to cause oil starvation too, G-force app look kind odd thing too then, but it goes away after short moment.
Have you looked up about that issue with Xbox One controllers on the Demo Derby mod, the Fair Grounds ? Author Bidwars already said that he contacted about that, since couple people have issues with the game/mod losing some of the button functionality, me including. And no other mods is being used besides that.
Is there a thread for this mod-related issue? From here version 0.14.0.3 only https://blog.beamng.com/third-hotfix-for-0-14-released/
https://www.beamng.com/threads/demolition-derby-the-fair-grounds.35328/page-26#post-958368 That's the moment where I realized that I'm not the only one with the problem.
Found a bug in third Hotfix. In Mission "Destroy the Moonhawk" comes this information, how many % Damage the Moonhawk took, when you hit him. Here i see the message "{{damage}% Schaden" oder "Damage" (i play in German). Not a big deal i think
Hey there, if I may here's a thread I opened a few days ago: https://beamng.com/threads/outdated-tip.59192/ That's a low priority issue but as I can't see it in the main post and I haven't had an answer I'm just making sure it's not lost
If you reset computer while driving, will it work then? For me there seems to be no changes in it at all, works as before, very high fuel consumption when stationary or near stationary.
Same issue, very high (exponential) fuel consumption (I think it's when speedometer display 0). Sometimes when I respawn a car or at the begining of game, it display Na? just reset when you drive at more than 0 kmh/mph and it works fine.
Model Years for a number of cars seem to have disappeared for some reason. This seems to be affecting every car but the Hopper, I-Series, DT40L and Moonhawk. Does anyone else have this issue? --- Post updated --- This isn't just affecting model years, on many cars the body style, derby class, and the nation of origin are also missing.
The 0.14 update seems to have broken the performance autotester utility, or at least changed the way it works. The method of using it shown in the performance statistics feedback thread no longer works, and instead just throws a couple lua errors and then does nothing. Could someone provide help with this? I've attached a screenshot of the console errors.
I want to make a couple of completely stripped out "prop" vehicles for other vehicles to jump into or crash out of the way... But with the ETK I-series, I get to a certain point, usually pretty close to finishing removal of all the parts, and it tends to glitch out the part selector. I can still appear to pick and choose parts, but as I do, no changes happen on the vehicle itself. I tried closing and re-opening the editor, but that just causes the editor to appear entirely blank. EDIT: I just checked the LUA log, and it came back with this error: "GELua.core_quickAccess.quickaccess | vehicle didn't respond in time with menu items. showing many anyways..."
@Nadeox1 I noticed there was another update yesterday. We're now on 0.14.0.4, apparently a 4th hot fix for 0.14, but there's nothing in the dev blog or here. I'm curious what was fixed.
So I was really really happy to read in the devblog that older maps are getting reworked. I'm really excited to see them get another pass, and I want to help this process. So I made a list of all bugs, feedback and ideas I have collected and found over the years on JRI. I hope that at least some of this helps you! Spoiler: Massive list of small bugs and more. Be warned. JRI is a map I don't play that often. Still, I have found a few bugs over the years. Wierd tree thing Water crossing Another thing that I think really needs an update is this place It's an industrial zone that's located right next to the quarry, and judging by some models' names, it's probably a cement processing plant. But it feels pretty poor. I never drive through it and I believe very few have. This place feels like a generic industrial area, just like "industrial site" (the map), but smaller and less interesting. My idea for this place is to make new models and assets (instead of re-using the "industrial site" ones) and make it into a real cement proccessing plant. Here are some reference photos... ...And a rough paintover of my ideas... Then, there is the port. I think that the port is great, but I find it really hard to believe that such a port exists in an island with maybe 5 houses. Who operates (or operated) this port? And why was it built there? The map doesn't give a good answer to this. So maybe there is (or was) a town behind the port, in this area? it could be abandoned like the rest of the island. I am just throwing ideas out there, but I don't think there was ever a port that wasn't built next to a town, let alone on an unpopulated island. Also, many areas could use signs. WCUSA has some great use of signs, so you can tell where you are very easly. I just thought of the observatory as one of them, but of course many more could use this treatment. Now IDK if this is really something that helps you devs, since most of it isn't even exactly bugs, and this is a bug report thread. If it does help- I'll be sure to write down for some other maps.
