Both my me and my sister are friendly, and will do anything to avoid killing anyone. *wakes up* "Erh, my head hurts... what happened?" *goes around the house* "Pinnie! Pinnie, where are you?" *sees Pinnie unconscious lying on the kitchen floor* "Oh my goodness Pinnie! What happened?!" *tries to wake her up* "Wake up Pinnie!" *shakes her* "Ooh I've got such a headache right now. Are you alright, Dalien?" "Yes, Pinnie. And you?" "Apart from my headache, yes." *they look outside* "*gasp!* Look at what happened to your car! It's wrecked!" "You're right! My trusty Sunflower Yellow '97 Pessima! Ruined to bits!" "Not so trusty now, eh?" "Yeah... Let's go check if your Ibishu thing is still alive." "What, seriously? 'Ibishu thing?' It's called a Covet, and by the way, you're Pessima thing is also by Ibishu!" "Ok, sorry, let's just break this argument and go check." "Ok." *they go over to the remains of the garage, and enter it.* "MY COVET!" *she rushes over to it* "MY BEAUTIFUL COVET! A mess of burns, scratches and scorches!" "I'm sorry, Pinnie." "It's not our fault. It's nature's fault, she bombarded our home with that meteor-thing." "That's called a Meteor, Pinnie." "Yeah, yeah. D'ya think we should find a vehicle then, Dalien?" "Yap'" *they wander around the town for a good 24 minutes, and actually find something* "Look Pinnie! It's a school bus! Do you think it still works?" "Let's find out!" *they make their way to the bus. On the side of the bus it says "FIRWOOD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL", along with a small chrome text saying 'Wentward DY20'. The bus is abandoned, and has its stop sign extended.* "How're we gonna get inside? Oh there's an emergency door button! I'll press it!" *the door of the bus is very narrow, and shrillingly, it squeaks open* "Aw, my ears!" *they say in unison* "I'll attempt to start the bus up. Make yourself comfortable somewhere near the back, in case something bad happens." *he turns the ignition key, and the bus jumps to life* "Oh yeah!" "What?" "Never mind." *they make their way to the west*
Character info: Ray Stultz, 38 An Australian living in Belasco until the apocalypse happened. Nearly got killed when a molotov cocktail struck his Sunburst. He came across a barebones '89 Pessima diesel wagon with its hazard lights on. Slumped over the wheel was a body with a bullet in its brain. With the violence intensifying, he had little choice but to take the wagon and leave the corpse. He has got as far as the Beam Mountains, but supplies there are now beginning to run low. His best bet now is to head back towards the city, where he hopes like hell some order has been restored. Ray has stocked up with as much food as he can find, but still, the pantry of his "borrowed" house is beginning to look pretty empty. He is also running out of jerry cans. He starts planning his escape. Ray: "Right, it'd prudent to assume there's gonna be no more servos from here on to fill up at. What we do have is a hella lot of vegetable oil over in that chicken place." He hops in his somewhat battered wagon and trundles towards the fried chicken shop, empty jerry cans bouncing in the back. "We're here. Now, where's those tubs of oil?" He sees a movement in the dim light. Flicking on his torch, he waves the beam of light around. It falls on a toppled tub of vegetable oil. "For God's sake, who's in here?" He reaches for his M1911, found in a drawer when he took the house. For an instant, the torchlight picks up a pair of eyes. Ray freezes, scarcely breathing. "I don't want to hurt you, whoever you are. I can help you."
*they've travelled just 1h until...* "Dalien, I'm getting kinda hungry..." "Me too, Pinnie. " "Couldn't you stop at some chips joint or something?" "Ok, if you see one, I'll stop." *3 minutes later* "There Dalien! There's one!" "Ok, I'll pull over." *there is indeed a food stall, the sign reads "Charlie's Chubby Chips!". It's a small little stall. There's someone lying on the floor inside. Our two protagonists exit their bus, and walk over to the stall.* "What?! Look Pinnie, there's someone lying there!!" "WHAT?!" *they jump over the counter and try reviving the body. Dalien gets a water can (same as ketchup can, only blue with drop on it), and squirts it over the body's face. It wakes up.* "what? what? where am I... Who are you?! You're not one of those aliens, are you? Oh yes you are! Get away!! Leave me alone! I'm just running this little chips joint, OK?!"
From the corner of the room, a skinny mongrel scampers past Ray and out the door. “Hey bud! Where you goin’?” He snaps off the end of a muesli bar and lures the dog with it. “You’re starving, mate. Eat this.” Five minutes later, Ray has the jerry cans filled up with vegetable oil. The dog is still following him around. “You know, I could do with a little company. I just hope there’s enough food to last us the trip back into Belasco.” He loads the cans into the boot. Opening the driver’s side door, he gets in. The dog jumps into his lap and tries to clamber across the centre console. “Let’s go. You can have some food at my house, uh, Sonny. I’ll call you Sonny. That was my friend’s name before he got killed in the riots.” Back at the house, Ray gets a piece of thin cloth, fixes it over a jerry can and begins to fill another with oil. “I know this is gonna take ages, but it’s my only option.”
Meanwhile... *reloads rifle* As I entered the bank, which was now the Green Snake Army's HQ, taking a military grade assault rifle to find the gold hidden inside. Me: Showtime.
I hope it will get interesting. By the way, what are we going to do with all these empty apartments in here? So far, we've only occupied two
Four days later, Ray has drained has much crud from the vegetable oil as he can. He only hopes his wagon will run it alright. “Hey, Sonny, wanna come for a ride with me?” Sonny bounds over and leaps into the front passenger seat. “We’ve just got to get the engine running. I’ve put a bit of oil in the tank.” Ray turns the key. The engine coughs to life, with a bit of smoke that smells like a deep fryer. Whooping with joy, he clutches in and shifts into first. The diesel clatters to 4,500 rpm as he makes his way down the road. “It’s smoky and terrible, but it runs alright. Whaddya think, mate?” Sonny looks at his friend with a goofy smile of approval. “Only thing to do now is pack the food, fuel, kit and ammo. We should get going as quick as we can.”
Delta, I'll follow you in case someone tries to do something a little janky while you have your joyride.
