This has been discussed many times before, over and over again, the simple answer is it won't.

Because consoles are weak and can't run it. Plus they would need to spend money on a dev console or get a license to sell it on console or something like that. Not worth it, its more cost effective to restrict to PC.

console still does not come close to running it it more than low settings and the game is not finished, and probably wont be finished until the next gen or two of consoles or once they can match a good current gaming rig then it will come.

Let's be honest, if a random group of associates and friends are able to create this mind-bendingly realistic game, then AAA developers would have done so since 2013 aswell...So no, BeamNG will most likely never come to consoles period. Including the trouble of controller binding with all the controls used in Beam.

to be honest i think beamng can run on xbox (and playstation)
xbox specs (and i mean the base xbox one) are
    2GB graphics card
    8GB ram
    8 core amd processor
    up to 1tb of space

so i think beamng should be able to run on xbox since my old computer could run it with the similar specs at around 35-45 (if i remember correctly) fps

none of those generic specs are detailed enough to tell you how the console hardware actually differs from how it would work in a desktop computer, and under the engine beamng uses.

That 8 core processor probably will behave funny on a BeamNG port. Among other issues. I imagine the single core performance would suck, which is just one extra thing that would need attention.

Game is fairly scalable, so it could run on consoles - stop saying it couldn't, because that's false. Maybe it wouldn't run as well as an high end PC, but hardware isn't really an issue here...

Portings require resources and investments the development team isn't ready/willing to spend at the moment. Instead they chose to focus on the PC version for the time being.

wouldn't run as well, wouldn't run the most intensive stock vehicles at realtime. both are fine.

you can pretty easily make a comparison between the jaguar-based chips in the xbone and ps4 and look at laptop chips produced using the same architecture, and see how much they suck at single threaded operations. granted stripped/optimized console versions will be slightly better, but i don't think any of us can speak to how beamng might be optamalized in that manner. so as long as the physics continue to be limited in that way it's a big ol ʕっ༎ຶᴥ༎ຶʔっ

Beam will probably be a PC only game. I feel like the devs have more than enough to do as it is. Porting a game over to a completely different architecture of hardware isn´t just done in 2 days. Or 2 Weeks.
Also the current generation of consoles is nowhere near powerful enough to handle the power of BeamNGs engine.

It could take up too 2 years to port half the game to an xbox and get it to work properly.

Right now, this commercial is about 43 years old. So I would guarantee that BeamNG.drive will come to consoles in the next 43 years. Some time between 2019 and 2061, inclusive.

Actually, 43 years from now, we'll all be playing BeamNG.drive version 483 on our VR machines, and it will require at least 1 petabyte of RAM. The graphics will be indistinguishable from real life and the cars will feel exactly like real life. There will be over 700 cars in the vanilla game, as well as a scanned map of the entire world, fully destructible environments, and over 55,000 working mods. I'll play it for over 2,000 hours in 2061, I'll be 68 and retired by then. There will also be airbags.

It will be on every console of the time, PlayStation 11, Vsun Capricorn, Honda Fusebox, and Apple iPhone 42 BACON. It will also have been ported to SEGA VIC Dual arcade systems. There will also be a special licensed Kappa Delta Special Edition.

A processor based on a near decade old AMD netbook processor at under 2ghz, the PC equivelant chips running same architecture at 4ghz struggled. The rumours of the PS5 and maybe the next gen xbox, they'll probably fair better
