Atleast you're putting effort into making the car without it being a meshslap like some others do. We should have more people like you here
more trial and error over everything. THere really is no specific way to do it. Just look at a lot of reference pics
You seem to have 3 vertices unconnected on the wheelarch. As for modeling the inside, I'd guess you do it like the outside; no difference really
Damn, this is looking wayyy more promising than half of the mods on this forum, even ones by experienced modders just take your time and do your best, also I drive a 1.0T ecoboost mk3 in real life
Nice Car! Got a 2007 5d hatchback 1.8 flexifuel as my current daily. Spent quite some time cleaning up the body and adding more detail. Also been busy building the interior. Starting to look like a car! Interior is quite difficult to do though as everything has to be made with pictures as guidelines. Anyway, it's a good challenge!
looks wonderful mate, can't wait for this one, showing some real promising stuff here what plate is your 1.0T Cody? cuz mine is a '14 and I love it
Managed to work on the Focus for a few hours this week (just my spare time, sometimes difficult with a daily job and kids!). Mainly doing interior work and cleaning up the body. I've corrected the body lines at some corners and added more detail to the interior and front bumper (fog lights). Also made the wheels. Before anyone asks, I'm going for the standard Focus first, with 16" alloy rims as standard from the factory. Took way longer then anticipated, as it took 3 hours to build the wheel! Very pleased with it though. Interior has to be done as well, but as that's not my favourite part I think I'm going to do the suspension first. Or the lights. Or the engine bay... not sure yet, haha!
It's starting to look more & more like a Focus, which is pretty cool. Hopefully you'll be able to finish it
mine is also 2014, i don't really like it as much as i did my MK2, my MK2 was alot calmer to drive and much more relaxed feeling, the MK3 feels like its gonna shit itself --- Post updated --- Those rims look nice, are you also gonna do the 17 or 18 (don't know how big they are) Rally edition rims?
Yeah I feel like mine could do with an extra gear for motorways, 3000RPM the whole way up the motorway isn't the best but for a tall guy like me (I'm 6'4) I it really is wonderfully comfortable. This project is really gaining speed now! Chip away at little areas and you'll soon get there buddy, it's looking really nice I know you said you're only starting off on standard but I would love to see some 18" ST rims Good luck mate
