Eh, just bought an album off HDtracks.com, because why not and man, was it a hassle. To download your purchase you need to get their stupid download manager (which is based on that god awful JRiver Media Center thing) and download it through that, which only takes 3 times longer than normal, mind you. Reminds me a bit of that Sony XCP crap, but without the malicious code Plus, they're charging way too much, I mean 17€ for a 40-year old LP only because it's in Lossless? It wasn't even the highest quality they offered, I could've paid as much as 31€... It sounds pretty good though.
I tend to get my music through Juno Download, It still peeves me a bit that they charge more for higher quality files, and that they don't allow customers to re-download purchased music (after something like a 24 hour period). But all in all they seem to be pretty ok. Once purchased, you can either download tracks individually or grab them all in a zip file, If there is DRM, I haven't noticed it. They offer flac and wav files, but I go for the 320kbps MP3 files, since its a bit cheaper and makes basically no difference to me.
I usually upload a copy of my purchased music on Google Drive (which may or may not be Illegal, I don't really care). 320 kbit/s files sound really dull to me in comparison to like 96 khz/24bit FLAC files, especially since my new motherboard's audio doesn't suck ass like my last ones. Granted, I'm not "THE" audio person (see signature) so I couldn't explain it to you but there's really a difference to me.
It's Saturday. Evening. And my mom bought a cake. What could be better? P.S. ignore dirty table. a little creative mess
I've done a blind comparison test on these forums before, granted, I only got 3 responses, so it wasn't significant. But it was still interesting. Essentially, I got a snippet of a song in flac format, converted it to a bunch of different formats, then converted them all back to flac again so that they all appeared identical. Then asked people to fill in a survey. 2 people though 320kbps mp3 was best, 1 person though flac sounded best. Everyone agreed that 382kbps mp2 sounded the worst You can see the whole thing here: https://www.beamng.com/threads/audio-format-test.13008/
Suddenly have an unsatiable desire to make a “ladies and gentlemen, we got him” meme out of “bugger devs.”
Nice, Foresters are probably the best of the modern CUVs. Those rims are ugly though, they don't look stock.
CUV? Never heard that one before.. Edit: Second search result... WTF Google?! "CUV is the new G-Spot" I don't think so...
CUV: Compromised Utility Vehicle. Popular among aging baby boomers and """"""active"""""" millenials, who make up a segment of the market so large that car companies can't afford to sell anything else. I mean seriously, can't you fit your fiance, your two bikes, your Nature Valley granite granola bars, your rescued German shepherd mix and your obnoxious bumper stickers in/on a large sedan or station wagon? Do you really need that VW Atlas, or that Subaru Ascent?
Ah, you meant that sarcastically. Joke's on you cause Wikipedia actually states CUV as an abbreviation for Crossover Utility Vehicle, I guess your version means the same...
