In this game "Does not Commute", you essentially drive multiple cars in the end by driving one car at a time. This is done by letting the player drive one car in the first "round" and then driving another car in the second "round" while the first car is repeating its movements.

If implemented into a mod of some sort in Beam NG. It's going to be much easier for people who want to record clips of multiple cars but wants to have full control over the current car that's being driven. This would be done by recording the movements of one car or vehicle initially and have the recorded movements of the first car driven again by an AI of some sort, while the player can focus on driving another car. This then can be repeated for more cars and allow the final product to be multiple cars driving together even though the player is driving one car at a time.

Heres the trailer for that game:

While I reckon the basic lua required could be implemented, having about ten cars could make for serious performance issues.

I think most people that meet the minimum requirements can have at least 4 cars (judging by observation/personal experience), that’s enough to have “traffic” in a small area or a lot of messing around.

Personally something like this (assuming it is what I think it is...) is something I’ve been wanting for ages.

In the next update we'll release a preliminary version of scriptai subsystem which records the path your are driving and then tries to follow the recording/script. A mod could then use that to implement something like above gameplay.

That would probably help with videos like the BeamNG Movie by @FrIzErIs which could allow for better shots, more cinematics, etc.

I would like that, the game is pretty fun. You wouldn't be able to make it exact but that would be pretty cool.

Oh, that's great to hear! I can't wait for the next update. Maybe if someone decides to create a mod on this or find a mod that relates to this in the future, you can post it here for everyone to see. Thankss!

This game seems so fun. I'm getting Polybridge vibes from this type of gameplay, trial and error but a happy outcome. Anyway, it may be difficult for lower-end computers, but this could be fun when possible.
