    This is looking very nice. Can we make different paths in different places on a map, and make the AI drive them all at the same time ?

    Tbh, on the showcase video there wasn't much in the way of braking.
    I bet the truck was in 4wd, cause of course someone decided that sticking vehicles in 4wd by default is a good idea... Which means the truck was slightly sliding on all of the corners, also judging by what the truck can handle, at that speed most of the corners were actually done while slightly sliding and AI course was created by the vehicle position, not the player input, which means AI car starts to turn when player's car was starting to change drirection - which causes AI to overshoot the corner.
    Generally AI should avoid sliding, which means it should disable 4wd, take the corbers slower and actually apply brakes if target speed decreases mid corner (which can indicate that the target vehicle is sliding, so it needs to slow down before the corner to avoid it).


    Also as mentioned... Please fix the fact that all of the base game transfer cases are engaged by default, or at least add an option to do it without modifying base game jbeam files. It is really annoying to have to turn off the 4wd and unlock the hubs every time you change the vehicle, as most of the time you do not need 4wd.

    It looks definitely like a way to program an AI system to mimic your own style of driving, I cant wait for this to be added into the game!

    Yeah, pretty much that's the correct way to describe this.
    You do the planning, the AI then mimics in its own way.

    I agree its definitely an interesting way to put yourself up against yourself, makes the AI a little more of a challenge

    Will the AI's capability to be aware of other vehicles (as shown in the traffic AI demo video) work in these scripted paths as well?

    This is beautiful.

    If the AI gets pushed off course or something, what happens to the pathing? Does the vehicle drive to the closest node and continue, or does something else happen?

    can you make an option that make the care do the exact same thing we record like the replay but we van still drive with an other car. It Will ne great to do movies

    he's asking (i think) if we will be able to drive other cars while the AI is driving on it's set path, if i interpreted his/her speech correctly :p

    if that is the case than i would definitely think so, considering that is how all other forms of AI have worked thus far

    No, I was asking for a similar run. In the video, we can see that the IA is trying to recreate the path. But sometimes when we have to do a jump we have to be precice centimeter. So I'm afraid IA will not reproduce exactly our path.

    it's not designed to exactly replicate the path, but it should be able to do jumps as Tdev stated :)
