I've got a nice lightbar mod, and I'd like to install visor lights with the lightbar. In order to do this, I need to add an extra roof accessory slot to the car. How can I do this?

Well, you just need to add a slot, this might become handy https://wiki.beamng.com/JBeam_Introduction#SlotType_and_slots_section

Also Additional modification slot might work, you can have sub slots to that if you need to.

Thank you. I tried adding in some more slots.

    ["fullsize_roof_accessory","","Roof Accessory"],
    ["fullsize_roof_accessory","","Lightbar Slot"],
    ["fullsize_roof_accessory","","Additional Lightbar Slot"],

All this does is overwrite one another. So, instead of having roof accessory or lightbar slot, I only have the bottom one.

Yeah, that fullsize_roof_accessory is name of the slot, if you want those all three to be new slots, then you need to name it for example fullsize_roof_accessory_a, fullsize_roof_accessory_b, fullsize_roof_accessory_c.

Greatest problem tends to be that in new part you can define slots only for that part, you need often new frame or new body where to define more slots, which is bit annoying.

    Thanks for that.

    ["fullsize_pushbar","", "Push Bar"],
    ["fullsize_roof_accessory","","Roof Accessory 1"],
    ["fullsize_roof_accessory_2","","Roof Accessory 2"],
    ["fullsize_roof_accessory_3","","Roof Accessory 3"],

This didn't work. The only one that worked is "Roof Accessory 1".

You should check if your actual parts are using 'fullsize_roof_accessory_2' and 'fullsize_roof_accessory_3' in their slotType.
That's how the game assigns the part to the slot.
If they are all using 'fullsize_roof_accessory', then they will all appear under that 'Roof Accessory 1' group.

I’ll do that. That’s definitely why they aren’t going to show up. But shouldn’t the slots at least show up as empty? I don’t even see them on the menu.
