I gotta disagree with you on that. While I do like the facelift the MK3 was given, I think the MK4 looks like a fish.
Though I'm a big fan of Panther body cars,I still think the 1st gen. Crown Vic looks weird,and the 2nd gen. looks much better!
1st gen Camaro to 2nd gen. While the first one looked a bit nondescript, the next one managed to give the Camaro a distinctive, sporty-but-not-aggressive, look. (at the cost of visibility, though)
