Not sure where else to post this... I've been working on creating my first from-scratch vehicle today. I reloaded the "Introduction to Vehicle Creation" page while working and suddenly it was in Russian. It looks like someone translated the entire page instead of creating a second copy for the translation. How's this normally handled? Changes can be seen here: https://wiki.beamng.com/index.php?title=Introduction_to_Vehicle_Creation&action=history
I'd say yes, since all the rest of the pages are in English. Usually wikis have a suffix on pages that aren't written in the main language of the wiki...is it possible to copy the existing Russian version to a page with "_ru" after it?
well, my PC automatically translates everything. it was all in Russian, and as far as i could tell, it translated it perfectly back to English, with good grammar and all. so yeah, probably
I don't know. But as far as I do know, revision histories are preserved to some degree. Doing a multi language version of the wiki is a question for any of the staff. --- Post updated --- I could tell it was Russian by simply looking at it.
i didnt say you couldnt lmao I was just explaining if Arcanox had a translator it wouldn't really be a problem. but for now it should be put back into english
I know that (and Chrome did offer to translate it)...it just makes sense to have the whole wiki consistently written in one language unless a page has multiple variants translated to different languages. Translators go both ways, so Chrome can probably translate the English page to Russian without a problem. Thank you! Glad to help out
