Thank you so much, this is great! Now i can hear those awesome rotary engine sounds again! It sounds like a peripheral port, is that right? By the way, are you going to be adding the smaller 10A engine as seen in the Mazda R100? Or maybe rally and race configs? That would be nice, to be honest!
It should be peripheral port. I own currently six old Mazdas but none of them have a rotary engine, so I'm not a rotary expert. I'm not planning to add any more engines, but I could make rally and race suspensions, because the handling with the most powerful engines is pretty bad with the current setup. Leaf sprung axles could be vastly improved with stiffer springs, better shocks, panhard rods and traction bars. I experimented with skins a while ago and realized that the second UV maps of the bodies disappear when exporting the models from .z3d to .obj format. I can add them in Blender for the next update, it's not a big deal.
Never think you would come back again, really shocked seeing you came back, nice to know things are now working again
Welcome back, dude! I wanted to ask you if you can mane crashes more realistic-now the car is bit too strong for 1958. You can watch crash tests of `50 cars on YouTube, and you`ll see that they deform in an another way. Thank you for your attention!
Not going to release it anywhere without your ok, but I gave it adjustable ride-height. Also, I found the rotary turbo tends to snap driveshafts so I strengthened it a bit for my own use (I always go for "moar power!") edit: I have fixed the weird way i lifted/lowered it in this screenshot. basically had it raise/lower parts as needed to look fairly normal.
So I took the base 1000 Pickup for a drive, overloaded it with a heavy boulder and even driving maxed out for longer periods of time it doesn't overheat? I think the thermals are way too good for such an old car.
This is a great quality mod. I love the detail and the options. Keep up the great work. I would love to learn how to build mods like this. Any advise?
Start with small projects, like bumpers and simple, easy to modify things. This game is quite hard to make extensive, well made mods for, so it takes a ton of practise and experience, and time (some mods take 3-4 years) to make
This mod is perfect! Not even is it a very beautiful classic car, but it is so well done and high quality that it feels like an official BeamNG car, not a mod! If i had to make one criticism would be to replace the thumbnails for ones that actually look like the ones from vanilla cars to make it blend in better
can the sound for this engine be updated with the new sound system? Yes If its okay for me to use the rotary @mike94 i would upload it to the repo. but before that id also need a hand with getting the sounds working with the new fmod stuff. Made a quick hillclimb setup with the rotary and the autobello. with the amount of downforce this thing has, it can only go up to about 300km/h. 400km/h without a wing Last update kinda broke the sound stuff. not like they were working anyways its using the old sbeam sounds.
