This is just a question I had, just in case if I ever buy a RTX Graphics card. I know there is some games that don’t work well with RTX, so I was just wondering if BeamNG is one of those games.
I know personally that it works great, just know that a 2070 is essentially a 1080 that can also potentially do something else but costs the same and brings essentially the same performance and the same is true for the 2080 and the 1080Ti. Do buy one if you want but don't expect them to do anything amazing because games with real time ray tracing obviously aren't a thing yet because why would they. Maybe you might want to animate a movie with ray tracing in it though, in that case welcome to your dream.
I though that they did sell 1080 lot under 500 at September, until they did run out. 2070 is about 100-150 more I think?
The standard version is 520€ here, no idea about your region, just check Amazon. Aftermarket ones can go quite a bit higher with the Asus Strix at 670€. If you don't plan on overclocking your graphics card get the cheapest one.
RTX cards are just GPUs a the "old" GTX. They're more powerful, they have Ray Tracing as a new feature, but they're only GPUs, so they have to work with games.
Ok. Was just thinking because I will eventually build a new system and it will probably have one (I mean in like 5 years)
I use RTX... --- Post updated --- Man that is a great card, my 980 Ti recently decided it wanted to be a paperweight so I had to sell my kidneys and got an RTX 2080 Ti. Still waiting for it to ship though...
