Fits pretty good to any of the Rally pack cars released here on the forum by Mythbuster, Jalkku, Dkutch... All we need now is a blowoff-valve sound. Tell me what you think.
Sounds good, but there is one problem and that is that the loop has pop ups which cause it sound not natural. You could work more on the loop or if you want i may try to fix it up for you.
The pops are almost impossible to hear unless you're constantly redlining it, but sure you could try to fix it
I have sensetive ears, i hear everything D:. If you give me credits i will surely try. EDIT: You probably wont believe me, but in a few minutes of editing i "modified" it into a 0,064 second long loop which sounds same, except that it hasnt got that un-natural sounding looping . I will watch some Impreza rev videos to figure out what pitch would be best.
If you manages to fix it, sure I'll give you credits The problems I have had with very short loops is that the sound engine in BeamNG won't be able to loop the sound without a faint digital "T" sound (maybe you get it ) where the sound loops at high rpm. I'm eager to see(hear?) your changes Oh and the pitch is pretty perfect I think, but do whatever you want There's always room for improvement
Its allready done.. Dont worry, be happy, it sounds very good even when it is so short. But i would like to add some "sample" which would make it a little bit varying. The pitch was edited because the sound is just one of these "booms". I made a short preview also. - - - Updated - - - So i tried to do a version with a tone variation, but it completly broke the sound so i scrapped it and kept the "5 kb" sound .
Go to your BeamNG.drive-0.3/art/sound and replace cheetah_engine with the downloaded sound. Make sure you bak up the original sound first, since this will replace the engine sounds of all vehicles. - - - Updated - - - I noticed your sound has a looping "pop" aswell, but much faster. I think I will stick with my sound file, sorry.
It hasnt got a "pop" its the way it sounds, its very hard to make it sound good because you cant just simply make a pre-made sound make sound so clear. Whatever, its just my version. But I dont really like the un-natural looping that your original has :/.
Your sound has a digital pop, that's the sound that appears at the exact point of looping. Because your sound is so short it's very easy to hear since it's happening so fast. Just listen, it sounds like a ticking/clattering sound. I agree that my sound has a looping sound, but I think yours are as bad. If you want to say something more send me a pm, so this thread can stay somewhat on topic.
I know about that, but you can actually notice it only when you hear it at same rpms over and over again, other than that its fine to me. (nothing more to say)
This mod doesn't work. The vehicle this was meant for is severely outdated and doesn't work anymore. Please check the last post dates and read through the thread before you comment. Doing that helps keep old & dead threads like this out of the "What's New?" section where it looks like the thread is alive. Also, the download wasn't deleted, it's in the comments.
