i kinda wanna see an s2000 style roadster with the 9000 rpm redline, 250 hp. something along those lines. it would be cool for beam ng to hafe that be the first convertible car ingame thats not a mod
yup whatevers listed in my sig is what is stored at my house, theres more in other states/locations etc
- Improved UI. Not a fan of the current user interface as I do not find is aesthetically pleasing. It is also slow and unresponsive most of the time. Or maybe it's just me? What do you guys think? - Maybe a Canadian Rockies map? Would be cool for hill climbs/ elevation changes! - AI that drives on the road obeying traffic. Would like to see a start on that. - Career Mode
Crashes and the cars behaviour could do with a hand in replays when in slowmotion. I assume it's recorde din a relatively low FPS so when crashing in slowmotion it goes slowly frame by frame and not the same smooth way as when you do slowmotion live
If we're gonna stick to the Euro theme for now ... the Alps would do great as well in terms of driving roads.
I mean, a road train would be cool. I would love to see a bigger truck and the ability to pull doubles. As for real cars: A couple of the vehicles we have are very close to real life counterparts. There are so many reasons not to bother with licensed cars and the only benefit would be to the sort of YouTube videos which are better off using meshslap mods and to sim racers, who have other reasons to avoid the game. As for NASCAR: In the games current state, even high end computers can’t handle half a NASCAR pack of vehicles. If the cars had simplified physics and the minimum required specs were bumped up it could work, but that defeats the point of the game. I’ve said in the past I personally think it would be worth it, but now that Wreckfest is in a better state with more optimizations coming after the console version is finished, there isn’t any benefit to having that in BeamNG. However, I’ve always been a bit saddened by the fact that early statements said the career mode would have a lot of types of racing, but it’s 2019 and there still aren’t that many types of race cars. Hopefully we will see more soon, being that AI improvements and an early career mode should be coming within the year. Currently we have: 3 drag cars (I don’t even know what class they are. Nostalgia Super Stock maybe?.. The lack of gassers is very dissapointing) Several generic track cars, the Bolide GT4, and 3.5 tarmac hill climb cars (The 90’s Pessima being the half, as it has the Nomi aero parts) 1 drift car + 2 drift missiles (one of which is a van) 2 performance off road vehicles (Sunburst and Piccolina) + the off road trucks/SUVs and a handful of rally cars (With the Miramar having rally suspension parts) 2 stripped event cars (Moonhawk, Barstow) 1 event vehicle (JATO Wentward) For having 24 cars, that isn’t a lot. A lot of these racing classes and some we don’t have could be nicely filled with the existing cars and would not require many new parts.
Bump. Only thing I would really love to see in the future is official alternative body styles that the official cars seem to be really begging for.
I'd love to see the turbo parts being expanded. Some stuff like: Turbo muffling - Quietens the turbo down, but adds weight (for luxury/street cars etc.). Removing reduces weight and makes the turbo louder (performance/track/race cars etc.) This would also mean the devs don't need to balance the turbo volume/noise as much, since most cars will probably come with some decent engine/turbo sound deadening, those that want louder turbos have the option to remove it. Turbo pressure release - Recirculating blow-off valves for quieter street cars, no valve for turbo flutter, and adjustable valves that allow a mix of blow-off and turbo flutter, or can be turned all the way up for full blow-off noise True anti-lag - We've got 2-step now, the final step is to add proper anti-lag. Would be the icing on the cake in this department. Maybe this could also make the turbo run hotter which could lead to adding another part - turbo heat shielding/heat wrapping. Might also give oil coolers an actual use (since they don't actually do anything as far as I'm aware) Some interior gauges (maybe pillar gauges?) would be nice for oil and coolant temps, boost, EGT, etc. Drag chutes and wheelie bars would be nice.
I'd like to see improvements with the Ai system as well as maybe the Soliad Wentover being worked on,oh and some performance improvements with maps such as WCUSA.
I bet the soliad and the bluebuck are already finished they just arent teasing anything because so many people on here have to criticize everything so brutally, they probably dont want to hear the whining and moaning lol
I doubt that the devs would take such drastic measures for small and isolated issues. Moral support has been given, some members have redacted their statements and things are cooling back down. My guess is that the devs are reviewing the work that was done pre-2018 and editing things using all the tricks they've learned over the years. Or they completely trashed the old model and started from scratch, who really knows?
