on the track builder i just want to only add waypoints not structures how do i do that ?

i dont want to add structures i just want to add only waypoints just waypoints. it seems that this should be just straight forward but its not. very fustrating!

 

as far as I know, there's no way to do that with the track builder.
however, this tutorial is pretty good for making scenarios though, and in other posts on the thread, they also do stuff on general map editing.

 

If you really want to use the track editor, I guess you could make a track out of mostly empty pieces (open advanced pieces, use special chicane piece, in the bottom right of the piece parameters click on the 'solid' box) following the track you want to make and then manually adding checkpoints with the checkpoint menu. It's far from the best method though, your start line won't be able to be something without a structure and this is not really what the trackbuilder is intended for.

As @CaptainZoll said, scenarios (or time trials) would be your best bet if you want to share the tracks you've created.

If these are just for you, you could pull up the hotlapping app in freeroam, and with the advanced menu you should be able to put together basic time trials
