Map Editor not letting me move vehicles up or down

Simply put, im in the map editor just trying to move a concrete block into the back of a pickup truck with a paused game, but when I try to move the block up or down, it wont let me, but going side to side still works. and if it is already in the air, it goes down to the ground, this has been going on for a while and I cant find the cause, or a button to turn it off. Any help is appreciated.

 

Press J to pause physics before moving.

 

That isnt the problem, it isnt going back down instantly, I should have mentioned I was already paused, I mean if I move the car/object, the little grid that shows will move, but the car/object itself wont.

edit: i did mention i paused the physics originally.

 

Did you remember to Shift-C to free camera?

 

that again is not the problem, if I was not in freecam I would not be able to move the vehicle left, right, backwards or forward. I mean the ability to move the vehicles up and down does not work, I am in freecam, with a paused game, trying to move objects into the back of a pickup truck. I cant find ANY button to fix it and any object in the air goes down to the ground if i try to move it up or down, and sticks to the ground

The grid for moving vehicles up and down appears, and moves, but the actual object itself wont.

 

Make sure you haven't accidentally locked it as when you do this it won't move but grid lines will show when trying to move it.

 

You have not pressed T have you? That will cause everything to be glued to ground, sometimes button for it is not showing being pressed down, but it can be.
