Freightliner buys engines from Cat, Cummins, etc. Transmission from Eaton etc. Then they make chassis from scratch, install engines, transmission, axles etc. to that chassis. Chassis is like this, you can drive that around: Then someone buys that chassis from Freightliner and builds an RV or bus or whatever on top of that chassis. Usually Thomas has used Ford or International chassis though, but I see it became really confusing at 90's. Thomas did make schoolbuses for a long time, I guess Freightliner did acquire Thomas at 90's and hence this bus has Freightliner chassis and Thomas body?

Whoops, totally missed this reply! Doors, and stop signs naturally. I have an idea for opening doors / other "start closed" things on the drawing board, that I plan to test on official vehicles at some point.

Having another school bus would be cool, I liked the old bluebird bus before it got changed to Dansworth.
