Should the "empty" grille be replaced with the one from the Hopper on all hoods?

I wonder how that drives :D
Does it use chains or gears to trandfet the power?

And how are you going to jbeam it? Make it a fully 3D structure or 2D with rigidifiers and some crossing beams to mount it?
I would go for the second :D

Anyways, good luck, can('t) wait to see the end result :)

I think.... think.... that the driveshafts turn chains inside those little walking beams that go to each set of wheels... I think...

I don't really know exactly, but that would be my best guess.

As for JBeaming it, I am not entirely sure how I will do it yet. I usually try my best to stick to the original geometry of the item in question as close as humanly possible... you know... for realism sake. But for this one, your right, I might have to use a few tricks to get the trailing arms as stiff as they need to be for this to function properly and not twist from the weight.

While that has been discussed, I think I am probably gonna wait on doing that one. I think it would be awesome to make a set of Mattracks for it, but I would have to figure out HOW to go about doing that first.... so main B1 first... then maybe if I can figure it out. I know it's doable, but I am just not 100% sure on how to drive them.

The way we used to do silly stuff like that in RoR is we used to build sprockets for them to drive the tracks with and attach them directly to the wheels... I am not sure if you can attach stuff like that (directly to the wheels) in Beam or if there is a better way to drive them (can you attach rotators to the powertrain code perhaps? That would be the easiest way I could think of). Either that, or perhaps there has been some new innovations that I am unaware of in track design since then.

You can jbeam sprockets and drive them as rotators :)
Just making the jbeam for the track and sprockets must be the hardest part, the powertrain is easy :)

Actually making tracks isn’t too bad. That method was perfected long ago... that and a super old spreadsheet for link spacing calculations. The tricky part was always just figuring out how to drive them.

If you really can drive rotators with the power train now, that would actually make tracks fairly easy to make (compared to how they used to be anyways)

I need to confiscate your black pens, razor blades and your furry costume.

The hell is that suspension, looks like an offroady version of a trailing arm. Looks good.
