I know i keep on about it all the time, but we do still need better torque converter controls, especially for vehicles that don't have much torque down low, eg. on the D15 the shift from 2nd to 3rd really leaves a lot to be desired, quite a hard shift and the revs drop so low that the power is basically gone.. What i think we need is for the fixed "torqueConverterLockUpRPM" to be made dynamic, and is linked to the shiftpoints via the agression factor, that would help somewhat... the behaviour we need will go something like this As speed builds: 1st unlocked 2nd unlocked 2nd locked 3rd unlocked 3rd locked 4th locked then if you apply power, it can drop back, say for example you are in 3rd gear and it is locked up, you put your foot down and it unlocks the torque converter, and if more is required then it will go to say 2nd locked.. @Diamondback please
There are no plans for further work on torque converters but what you mention could be done fairly easily in a mod.
Hmm, this year was mentioned to be year when career mode comes in where we are going thread. Many parts of car systems also are told to be like above TC, that no more work or additions are done. So I'm thinking that Online leaderboards, career mode and alike are something that would probably get lot more players in and as company needs to make money, it would make sense to have such features out only when there is full price tag. If most interesting parts are out at EA price, it makes less money. Then again BeamNG devs are incredible generous bunch of people, nothing like Atari. In Wentward bus leak news article tdev did mentioned something like two years for game to be ready, that would be out of early access I guess. So what do you think, is game going out of Early access this or next year and will career mode come before that or when that happens? I would think this year is too short for out of Early access, but also I think it is not too far, so maybe next year.
Nadeox1 just showed off something new and interesting for the T-series - note the new style of exhaust stack.
I'm almost certain that's DRI, though it was quite a while ago. There was a small valley/ravine under the bridge that led down to the beach.
Lol you beat me to it. XD Anyway, I think it's about time the T-Series got new smokestack options. I never really liked the old stacks TBH, so I'll definitely like these better. I'm going to guess that the T75 Long Haul configuration will be updated to have these stacks, according to Nade's screenshot.
I'm personally hoping that rain flaps like the one on the Baja Piccolina become an option. That, and the underlying piping to use only a single, passenger-side exhaust stack:
I I wouldn't be surprised if he pulled that number out of nowhere, just to make the news reporters happy. still, could be true.
so I heard that the devs are going to drop support for SBEAM soon. if so, the sucks big time. the sounds we currently have with Fmod are rather shit tbh and we still need a ton of stuff in the wiki to be done from what I've heard
From where you have heard such? Old woman tales are also entertaining, but I would like to have some references for such claims before I would fully believe them rumors. Certainly wiki needs a lot of work, but as has been mentioned by devs in several threads, new World editor is under works and that alone means lot of documentation will need to be written after such is done, pretty much same for several other areas.
