    Hey folks

First time posting here, and I have always wanted to ask how cars come to be. Some of them I see the production year from 1950s or so and it makes me think how these cars are being made, or brought back or whatever for us to drive around and crash with.

Some name brands come from Rigs of Rods, BeamNG's prequel.

All are entirely fictional to get around licensing requirements and are designed by the dev team. Many were originally designed by @gabester, who also created several of the brand names, but he's currently recovering from an RMI. Some are fairly close to real-life cars (Ibishu 200BX is a dead ringer for an S13 240SX, for example), while others are out of left field (Hirochi SBR4). Most are somewhere in between.

Hey sorry if I asked wrong question, but what I meant is, what's the lore behind these cars, say Ibishu Covet? How was it made, why was it made, how many cars are built, etc.

The cars are made up and don't come with a lot of back story.. The cars have no real production date or chassis / engine codes . Not even specific colors.. It's all open to you to make them I guess

May not be official, but a lot of packs try creating "lore" for the custom vehicles. I know DJPlopper's mod does that, I believe WBIMP does that aswell. But DJPlopper's works best. Like @NistingurA said, there isn't much to go off of, so you can use those descriptions for ideas...
