Hey, Developers, I love the game love you guys keep up the work and all, just curious if guys are going to add mud physics in the Beamng drive. We all would love to see Beamng having real sticky dirt, particles on our vehicles. ThankYou and LIKE if you Agree.

    I don't think it's going to happen

I remember spintires had proper mud physics. It used a lot of CPU power and depended more on the CPU,BeamNG is already a lot of CPU heavy so I probably think thats not going to happen

Hopefully it will in the future. Currently (mainstream) technology just isn't capable of having soft body physics AND deformable environments. And game engines are optimised enough for this either.

Possibly an idea for BeamNG 2... The ultimate driving simulator

wat? spintires doesn't use near anything for actual physics calculations, mud deformation is not really that difficult. the minimum specs were like a core2 duo, and they got an award from intel for optimized code. you can easily run mud and beamnodes simultaneously. but they've stated it's not a planned feature for the foreseeable future.

I would love to see it too, but I don't know if it's possible right. Maybe in 2 years computers will be able to run that at 60 fps

Maybe this isnt the best place to post this but.
Would it be possible to spawn some meshes on a certain node that would look like mud?
Im no expert at lua or anything but, the title of this thread is called curiosity so why not?

Well, some cars have a dirty livery, so maybe they can find a way to make that texture fade in when you drive on dirt long enough?
