I don't have any issues with FPS in Deal's Gap. It's 50~60fps lowest, highest is in excess of 100fps. There's one tough spot to process that's about it. Radeon Rx 480 8gb (XFX RS hot-swappable fan model). Would have got a 1060ti 6gb but the Nvidia cards (all of 'em) I had screamed like dying rats (coil whine).

Use medium detail to avoid hitting VRAM limits if you have an older card, and unless you have Geforce 980, or 1060 ti 6gb, 1070/1080 series cards, turn off reflections. For older CPU's turn down or off shadows. I use reflection on minimum, so I can see if there's something behind me but that's it. Shadows on when testing!

There's a patch in the discussion forums for Deal's Gap if you need it, for reduced draw distance, helps loads with the FPS and only really affects the view when you're on the mountain top.

Use medium on the Rx 470 or high with reflections OFF. Reflections are a big hit to performance as my maps aren't as optimized as the dev's maps are, so it's basically drawing the scene TWICE. Shadows, well your CPU should be able to handle it, but it may/may not improve FPS some if you're held back at all. Ryzen is good though.
