The Rosetti Cavallo was an old, I6 powered convertible from 1946, built primarily for racing.
Giorgio Rosetti became fascinated with racing in the late 1920's. One day, Giorgio decided he wanted to make a racing car of his own. With his dad who owned a workshop, he constructed a racer over the course of a decade. Eventually, Rosetti got a racing team and raced the Cavallo at actual racing tracks. It won 83 percent of it's races, and with the money earned, Rosetti hired a small team of engineers and started selling the Cavallo to the public.
Engine: 3.0L Cast Iron SOHC Twin-Carbureted 18-Valve Inline 6 (175hp & 258nm)
Transmission: 4-speed Manual
Drivetrain: Front-engine, RWD, Open Diff
Weight: 1132kg / 2495lb
Top Speed: 120mph / 193kph
Body Type: Ladder Frame 2-door Convertible
This low-slung performance convertible, despite being first built in a shed, has probably one of the most beautiful body stylings of any car from the 1940's. That, coupled with the fact that it's RWD and was quite powerful for the time, means that it is probably the most pretty thing you will see burning rubber at the race track. It has light and nimble characteristics, although it tends towards oversteer as well sometimes.
I don't have anything else to say, so go and enjoy your Cavallo.
