1951 Hanson Dragonfly / Clubman Coupe

The Story: It's the Hanson "New Look", pontoon design based on stripped-down '48 Hanson Admiral model. The engineers had experiments with unibody chassis, but left the idea in favour of classic ladder one. The car was powered by straight-six 5.0 L inliner-6, and was well known for its reputation of easy handling.
Apart from most details connected with 1950s cars, like plenty of ornaments, fine leather interior, thirsty engine and so on, the car was also the first stock car which had won the NASCAR racing.
It was also one of the faster US cars from the early 1950s, with recorded top speed of 180 km/h.
Although this brand exists no more, the Dragonfly Clubman Coupe is kind of well-known models from the decade, and one of the symbols of the Detroit era. Made of heavy steel, fitted with tons of chrome details, stylish interior and low-profile roof, it suits very well early 1950s coupe philosophy.
It's also unavoidable in pop-culture, varying from cartoons to the racing games.
