    1956 Gassler Albatros

Inspired by Mercedes-Benz 300 SL aka "Gullwing", this car was produced in the 1950s as an answer to the Italian Ferrucci GT models. Mostly it was availably in the typical silver paint job and with beige leather interior as an standard trim, although the red interior and couple of other colours were option for additional cost. Powered by the 2.9 L inliner-six, comes with supercharger and can reach 250 km/h with 0-100 km/h acceleration for 5.8 seconds. Production numbers were estimated to at least 2,000 units, with dozens which have survived until the recent time. Produced from 1953 to the 1957., the car was iconic model of its time and least produced Gassler grand tourer model. Fast, well handled and with powerful engine, give yourselves a try today! : )

Kinda reminds me of a Corvette. Not a lot, but just a little bit.

It's actually based on '54 Mercedes Benz 300 SL aka "Gullwing". But I agree, mid 1950s sports cars follow the similar design cues. : )
