Beta 1957~1961 Pre-facelift Gavril Bluebuck 0.0.4

Magnificent cruisers that hail from the late 50s.

  1. Ryo13silvia
    Back in the fifties...

When gorgeous land yachts with glamorous fins and chrome roamed the streets...

One particular car was a show-stopper. An eye-turner. An absolute beauty.

    The Gavril Bluebuck.

The "1957" bodytypes have the exaggerated, flashy fins that were the craze from around 1957 to 1959.
Top trim models featuring the 423CUI have a bumper mounted spare tyre which - in my opinion - is very period-correct and beautiful.

The front end is the same throughout 1957~1961, with an aggressive fascia and hood. Chrome strips on the hood are available.

In 1960, Gavril gave it a minor facelift - most prominently around the fins, which are much more sleek and refined. Taillamps are no longer on the tips of the fins, and it is overall closer to the 1962 model.

Apart from body changes, this mod also adds:

-Cushy seats on which you can put items

-Two engines, the 265 CUI "Templeton" and 500CUI "Dunhill".
The former is very mileage-friendly and quiet; the latter is a flame-throwing 370HP block of muscle.

-Some custom configurations. Let me present to you :

    The 500 "Sadie" Limited Edition

    The 4600HP drag car

    The WideFap show car

※You need the WideFap mod for this to work

Also, to fully enjoy this mod, download the addon pack here which cannot be on the repo for various reasons.

Note that this car is VERY EARLY WIP. It works, it breaks, but not anywhere near completion. Even as I am writing this, a geometry + configuration update is in development.

Problems that I am aware of :
    - Taillights can be rather spiky in rear-end collisions. This will be improved.
    - The drag configuration's engine heat behaves weirdly. This is due to the OP radiator. Don't worry.
    - Taillights do not look realistic - this is my fault, will be fixed ASAP.
    - Body panels clip in places. This is undergoing development.

    - "Will you make a Series 62 next"
    > No.

    - "Will you make a Lan Evo next"
    > No.

-"Are you gonna make me a Chevelle then
    > No.

    - "What are you going to make then?"

wow driving aside, i absolutely love this design. i like that its SIMILAR to my fav cadillac without being exact. that being said, i saw one review saying the front bumper looked bad but i think quite the contrary! id hope you dont get rid of it lol. if anything, id just feel the rear bumper would sit better in between the rear bottom tail lights like the real caddys does. also, i saw someone ask if youre going to do a wagon, which i second!! if you DO decide to make a wagon, will you model it off of a normal 60s wagon or will you possibly model it off of the period correct cadillac ambulances? personally, i own a 1962 miller meteor caddy ambulance and would love to see you do a wagon in the classic caddy emb. style if you decide to one day! but great job with this mod so far, im VERY impressed :)

Keeping in mind the author knows and is working on some issues, I will say one thing. The front bumper is kinda ugly. It doesnt work on the Bluebuck. It has the El darodo front bumper which would work on a Cadillac. The Bluebuck is more of an amalgamation of american muscle cars in the 60s era.The designs take a lot from Chevy seeing as the Bluebuck aligns with the Impala well. I suggest the author uses a front bumper from a Chevy or Ford. Everything else about the car is great though and worth downloading. Im eager to see what the author does.

Thank you for the constructive criticism. I will work on the front bumper and attempt to make it integrate better into the Bluebuck's fictional lore.

Love this mod! Though are you planning on making a wagon variant anytime soon? (if you know what I mean) :)

I do like the idea very much and I toyed with it during dev, but I figured it would not be necessary for the time being. If someone made a Bluebuck wagon, I would definitely ask them nicely for perm (like I did for the convertible)

It would be much better if you did it as a separate car, since the connection with the original bluebuck is only a frame and similar years, but it looks very strange in the interface of the bluebuck. And yet, I ask you to remake the photos to modern ones (The official white background from the developers is like original cars, since it looks strange under such lighting) And I would like to hear a more realistic sound of the supercharger (Take it from the barstow) And the widefap appears with the usual suspension.

I have considered that, but I do not think it is worthy of another car altogether. The thumbnails may be retaken, tho. The S/C sounds are all the same AFAIK - also, do you have the WF mod? It is required for the configuration to work.

Why the photoroom light? Just use the stock Showroom map.
(sorry if I came off as toxic)

Nah it's okay. Things is, when I made the configs the showroom was still black (an update ago)!
