1962/63 F3 Car from the DDR 1.0

Melkus 62 Chassis Nr.5 / Wartburg 1000-96hp

This is a fictional take on an F3 car by an actually existing chassis builder from the DDR.

Powered by the Wartburg 1000 watercooled I3 two-stroke resulting in menacing 96 hp in a 400kg light frame fashioned from only the most exotic scavanged traintracks clad in aluminium foil.

Be consumed by the symphony of the two-stroke engine proving once and for all the superiority of our antifascist socialistic regime (or just proving that willpower can turn even a bunch of scrap into a racecar, you decide for yourself).

    Creator notes:
Brake bias might need adjustments depending on the track, currently you can only use 100% brakeforce at 130km/h or slower since the car creates lift at speed

The steeringwheel is slightly of-centre, this is intended.
