The Story

In the late 1950's Soviets decided to make their own Lassiter as special-edition car for highest-ranked Party members. They actually made simplified Lassiter 75 model (1961) tailored for wide Moscow avenues. The main role of this car was showing in the annual parades or even at some point KGB security staff car designed for protecting Party convoys. Because of its complexity, it never reached mass production, and was made in couple (less than twenty) units. Production lasted until 1968, when Soviets decided to dump this project and focus on simple cars fitted for production in hundreds, or probably less than thousand units.
