The name Casu Marzu is the name of a cheese from Sardinia with live insect larvae.
Fictional Story:
A company called Lodgepole started in Sardinia in 1962. They saw the success of the Gavril Bluebuck and they made their own version with tailfins and a rear engine. They wanted to combine this car with the 1959 Cadillac Deville and 1961 Chevrolet Corvair.
The 1963 Lodgepole Casu Marzu 700 only cost $200 at the time and the production years of it were from 1963 to 1989.
It sold 7,000 models in 1963 and sold 2,000,000 models in total.
