Beta 1973 Wolden Tornaro (Export) 1.25

1970s Aussie Muscle Car

1973 Wolden Tornaro XW-GT (Export Version)

    Disclaimer:
This car is made on special request. Its performance stats are mostly based on 1973 Holden Torana, as the mechanical stats such as the gearing, top speed and so on. However, it's actually visual blend of 1973 Holden Torana XU-GT & 1972 Holden Monaro, both Australian Muscle cars from that era. The colour is borrowed from 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, special "Purple Plum" paint in metallic tone.
As I got the Monaro request too, they're merged into one. Enjoy : )

Special Note #1: Automation exporter had couple of notorious "request" bugs, so I hope that this car will work properly on all devices. I've tested it couple of times on my PC, 99% fixtures are on place. If you spot something which I didn't notice, feel free to inform. I'll try to fix it.
Special Note #2: I know that Australian cars drive with the right-side positioned steering wheel. I had to chose left-side steering wheel and interior parts because of potential glitches, and I didn't had more free time to fix them. So, count this car as the unique, customized export version, ready to drive in USA or Europe, along with NSW license plates. : )

    Fixes and improvements:
    • Renamed Tornaro XW-GT from the Turana XW-GT, after I've realized it has some similarities to Monaro mk.1 too
    • Added custom BeamNG driver cam
    • Increased floor size - first version had too short width
    • Changed colour from "Lavander Pink" to 1969 Camaro-based "Purple Plum" with metallic tone
    • Rotated custom doorcards to fit with the car cues
    • Slightly downgraded gearing after update - the result was 0-100 for 9.3 seconds from 8.6 seconds
    • Slightly downgraded top speed after update - from recorded 218 km/h to more realistic 210 km/h.
    • Slightly reduced fuel economy - from 13.0 l / 100 km to more realistic 12.7 l / 100 km
The Story: Wolden Monaro is actually pure Australian muscle car. It's built onto German-based short wheelbase (2.4 meters long) and fitted with regular USA-based 3.3L inliner-6, nicknamed "The Red Six" from the Declasse Detroit / General Automotive Corporation. It's power hungry, it's fuel thirsty typical 1970s Muscle car, filling the gap between the bigger US V8's and German inliner-4 coupes from the same corporation. Actually, its handling is above average for the muscle car, that means it handles very well, its cornering is quite good too, but as the most muscle class, it's perfect for drifting.
The interior is fitted with beige leather and subtle plastic parts, it has racing wheel and 4-speed manual transmission and comes in flamboyant "Purple Plum" paint job and rear window plastic cover.
The car was produced from the 1971 to the 1974 as the tuned version of the standard Tornaro, which is more boxy, early 1970s sedan.

      Thanks! : )
Every car I made is very balanced, because I tweak a lot every model during development. This one passed couple of tests before launching final version. And although it looks American, it's actually inspired by early 70s Holden models. : )
