The 1976 Serpent Beverly was a sort of statement. A way to say you didn't care about the fuel crisis - you were in for luxury, and a big lumbering V8 to pull it around. The plush pillowy seats make for a fantastically comfortable ride, the ultra-soft suspension will ensure you're as comfy as possible, and the overboosted power steering will let you command this land-barge with the touch of a finger.
Nowadays, Beverlies can be found resting in the garages of retired couples, or brought out for cars and coffee. Compared to when it was new, it's a bargain!
Producing 240 horsepower from it's huge-displacement V8, the '76 Beverly isn't a fast car. Then again, it's not really supposed to be. Weighing in at about 2 tons and fitted with 5-mph impact bumpers both front and rear, it's essentially a rolling roadblock, or a block-breaker if so desired. It may not be powerful, but it does have plenty of torque.
Sit back, relax, and go for a gentle cruise.
- or maybe you want to test its limits?
Known issues;
- Somewhat dim headlights (?)
- The whitewalls in the photo are thicker in-game, this is due to fixture issues. They do work though!
